Glitter for the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s: etc…

Quote of the day: “You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.”  Jane Goodall.

Here I am using the same glitter pieces, styled differently one more time. Make sure to check out the previous blogs where we styled glitter for casual & for dress up.  The time to purchase any glitter pieces is right after the holidays because ’tis the season and they’ll be on sale!  See these great ideas to get the most usage from all the glitter pieces in your closet.

50’s Glitter Style (dark grey shirt)…This is my date night outfit, but if I wanted to, I could put on flats and a less dressy cardigan and wear this around town.  Date night is such a good reason to put on glitter….for any age!

60’s Glitter Style (skirt): I’m sure everyone has a lightweight sweater like this one.  Pairing your glitter skirt with a sweater and flats make for another casual ensemble!  A good rule of thumb at this age is to make sure the glitter piece has some structure behind it.  This skirt is actually pretty heavy weight so it has it’s own body (meaning it won’t accentuate the lumps/bumps)!

70’s Glitter (sweater)..My mom wanted to pair this sweater with rust pants but I decided grey jeans are so fabulous for the season!  If you have some grey pants, drag them out and wear them pronto!  Remember, you don’t want to be too matchy-matchy right now.

Sweater: thrift store (similar here but not glitter)~~Shirt: mom made it (similar here)~~Grey Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt (here)~~Shoes: Auditions (similar here & here)~~Necklace: Hudsons (similar here)
