Amuse Bouche (ˈä-ˌmüz-ˈbüsh): literally translated into “mouth amuser”.  Wikipedia definition: a single, bite-sized hors d’oeuvre.

Jodie’s use of the term: a small hint or clever tip!  (Think Hints from Heloise!!)

bed sheet storage in the linen closet

Sheet Storage

The idea of tucking the fitted sheet, flat sheet & one of the pillowcases inside the other pillowcase is brilliant to me!  It’s another great tip I learned from my time searching through Pinterest.  I just marvel at how such a simple concept works so wonderfully.   I think it’s the perfect way to store your bed sheets so that the individual pieces don’t get mixed up.   Or am I the only one that would have trouble finding the matching pillow cases in my linen closet?

This is something you can do likety-split since I’m sure your sheets are already folded in the closet.  Just take one of the pillow cases and open it.  Insert both the fitted and flat sheet inside it along with the remaining pillow case, tuck extra material around it and voila!  Now you’ll never have to search for matching sheets again!

ps.  This actually didn’t work for my microfiber sheets since they are SO thick.  What I ended up doing with those was putting the fitted sheet in one pillowcase and the flat sheet in the other pillowcase.

As always, I appreciate your time in reading my blog!  This week’s blog theme will be bright pink!

When you said Sheet Storage – I read Sheet Shortage and wondered if you have the same problem I do with the sheets not being long enough. My solution was just to cut a piece off of the old sheets I was replacing and add it to the bottom of the new sheets. This way I can keep them tucked in and still have plenty to fold over the blanket and cuddle with at the top.

    • Liz, That’s brilliant!!! I could do a post on that in the future (of course I’d give you credit as “a reader, Liz”—would that be ok? How much do you usually cut off and add?
