50’s 60’s 70’s
Blazer/Jacket for the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s: With Jeans
Quote of the day: “The combination of a blazer over any T-shirt with a pair of jeans is foolproof.” Ryan Seacrest
A blazer should be a closet essential for EVERYBODY. It’s as fundamental as a great pair of jeans!! The correct fitting jacket can make you look put together, smart and oh, so powerful! Even if you never had to wear one for work, you really should buy just one! And the versatility of it is amazing–throw it on over a t-shirt to instantly go from sloppy to put together. Now I’m not saying you need to spend a lot of money on this item. Look at mine….it cost $15 when Ann Taylor had one of their 70% off sales!
50’s Blazer/Jacket: I’m a firm believer that as we get older, we need to layer our clothing more. Why, you ask? I think of it as a graduation in our dressing scheme. Layering the right items together gives the impression that we take the time and effort to think about our outfits. Thus since I didn’t put a blouse on under this sweater, I just threw my blazer over it and voila–a put together look!

60’s Blazer/Jacket: This colorful jacket is perfect for those of you who tend to wear solid colors. Since it is comprised of so many different colors, it nicely accentuates most any color item. It is a more relaxed jacket, yet still acts as a great transformational piece.
70’s Blazer/Jacket: If you shy away from print blouses because you feel like they make you look too conspicuous, then put your solid colored blazer over it. By doing this, you’ve added some interest to your outfit, yet the print is not as overwhelming.
