Brown for the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s: Paired with Pink
Quote of the day: “Glances of true beauty can be seen in the faces of those who live in true meekness.” Henry David Thoreau
In the third installment of what to wear with brown, I decided to go to the opposite color spectrum than the first two posts. The first post was a dark color–navy (here) and the second was a bright color–red (here). So I decided that this color mix needed to be a light color. I really like all the pastels with brown, but I chose pink!
50’s Brown (Blouse): So my necklace actually broke at the bottom of it. Since it’s so long, I decided to cross tie the ends and drape it around my neck.

60’s Brown (Vest): I like draping this scarf over the neck of the vest instead of under the vest. I was trying to break up the puffiness of the vest.

70’s Brown (Skirt): Mom got this leopard jacket while at a consignment shop. It came with a skirt which now resides in my closet!

And I’d hate for the bottom half of your body to get jealous–so here’s skirts & pants in brown (the NY & Co ones aren’t really sold out–at least when I checked–and they’re only $20 and even come in petites and talls):
