50’s 60’s 70’s
Pink & Grey for the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s with denim!

Since grey is a popular neutral for the season, I thought we’d add some femininity to it with a little pink action. Pink is a very good way to soften the blahness of grey but I will warn the silver haired goddesses out there: a light pink (or any pastel) does tend to make you look washed out. One way to counteract this colorlessness is to go with a darker hued pink (think more raspberry or fuchsia) especially if it’s close to your face. You can also add another neutral to the mix for added excitement! If you still want to wear pastels, just make sure you add some bronzer to your makeup and a bright lipstick (my cure for anything!)
For this first of three series I’ll show pink & grey with the classic denim!
50’s Pink & Grey: This is one of my favorite cardigans, so obviously I love the pink/grey combo. I consider the sweater dressy so I combined it with this shirt (which has stripes of faux leather) and jeans to make it more casual.
60’s Pink & Grey: The grey moto jacket sweater is featured all over the stores this season. Nancy and I got this at the Rack on a recent shopping expedition! The style and gray color made it easy to insert the pink sweater under it!
70’s Pink & Grey: Having a grey cardigan in your closet is most likely very common, so just like for the 60’s version above, I placed a pink sweater underneath it and then added some interest with the earrings & bracelet.
