Even your Phone Needs Accessorizing & 2 Giveaways

Even Your Phone Needs Accessorizing

Quote of the day: “That’s the real secret to dressing well: It’s all about attitude…It’s about walking into a room, knowing that you look and feel good, and projecting that attitude out to everyone who sees you.” Betty Halbreich

So if the quote today is true, do you think it’s the same for our phone too? Does your phone need to be dressed well, and project the same message that you are projecting? I think anyone could argue that point, now that phones are almost considered an accessory themselves. How many people do you see during the day, carrying their phone as part of their outfit?

If you’re in the older crowd, you may think this is ridiculous. And I say that only because I had that thought myself. In the past, I would spend all this money on a new phone, and then my husband would say, “now you need a case for it!” And my thought was “why?” I don’t want to spend any more money on it!!

But once you get used to the idea, having a fun looking case, can put a smile on your face every time you pull out your phone! Of course the cases or skins that you see aren’t only limited to phones. They can be for your pads & laptops too! Almost anything can be accessorized now!! And if you want to own a case (customized or not), there’s a giveaway and a discount code below!!

CaseApp

So let me introduce you to CaseApp. I purchased the case you see below about a year ago! I had seen CaseApp showcased on another blogger’s site and thought it was a great idea to personalize it with my blog name. Of course, I didn’t get around to it until we bought our new phones, but once I did it, I was hooked!!

The photo below that I used for my first case is the 3 of us from our ankle pants series. I added in the pink coloring around it and even the name & web address of my blog! I can’t tell you how many times I would whip this out when Rob & I would be telling others about my blog! Of course, I have business cards too, but my phone is always at hand, so I’d show them our picture first!

My Experience

My first experience with CaseApp was as a customer only–not as a blogger. I had actually tried another site for a custom case for my phone, but found it was too complicated! Then I remembered reading about another blogger having a customized photo put on her phone case, so I checked it out. It was CaseApp, and so I made my own case with ones of our collage photos from the blog.

Since I was just doing this as a customer, I got no special service or extras, and it turned out fabulous! It was no more expensive than many of the cases at the stores and it only took about a week to be delivered (because I didn’t pay extra for fast delivery)!

So when CaseApp reached out to me to work with them, I was happy to try out another couple of cases and promote them!

Bloggers & Non Bloggers!

So the way I see this, if you’re a blogger, then just like any venture you have to market yourself. And what better way to do that than with your blog name on the back of your phone or pad?

But if you’re a “normal” person, this could really be fun too! Who doesn’t love to showcase their grandkids, or children or even pets? When was the last time, you were hunting through all of the photos on your phone to show someone your pride and joy? Why not just have the photo on the back of your phone?

The process is really quite easy. I’ll highlight it quickly for those of you who aren’t so tech savvy!! And truly, if you have any blips, feel free to email me for more help!! I’ll try to be your tech support–ha ha!

For a Custom Case

Just go to the CaseApp website. At the top (next to their name) is a menu.

You’ll want to pick the Cases menu;if you want a case or the Skins menu if you want a skin for you pad or laptop!

Now it’s time to figure out the size & shape of your product. Once you click on the correct one, you’ll get a screen where on the upper left is an icon to upload an image.

Then you choose your image and then you are able to adjust the size of the image and even add in some text! Save it and pay for it and ta da!! You have a custom piece!

Premade Cases

For those of you who would love a new case, but in no way, shape or form, want to come up with your own design, then check out CaseApp’s selection of premade designs! They have a ton fabulous looks that are very reasonably priced!!

Giveaways & Discount

You know how much I love getting a good deal, so let me make your day! CaseApp was kind enough to offer one of my readers their own Caseapp (personalized or premade)!

Just try your luck by entering in the giveaway below. And if you don’t happen to be the lucky winner, there’s a discount code to save you a little moola! Use TOUCHOFSTYLE20for 20% off your order!! This doesn’t expire, so make sure to come back every time you get a new phone!!

Do you have an iphone 6 Plus?

Now I’m not sure if you noticed, but the premade case in the top photo is bigger than my custom design ones. It was my goof up and I accidentally ordered an iphone 6 Plus sized case for one of my options for this post! So my oops can be your gain!! If you like the denim pocket design and have an iphone 6 plus, I’ll hold another giveaway for that case!

The Rules for the iphone 6 Plus case:

1-Comment below that you’d like the denim pocket case

2-You must live in the US

3-I would sincerely appreciate it if you’d follow me on all the social media sites that you can! It really would make my day!

  • Debbie Stinedurf

That is a fabulous way to promote the blog Jodie! I actually just got a new iphone 7 plus last week. I’m so weird about phone cases though…I think the phone itself is so pretty that I like a clear case to show off the phone, although I must say a phone case promoting the blog is tempting… 🙂

I get that Debbie! In fact, I couldn’t understand why you needed accessories for your phone at first! Maybe that’s how some women feel about necklaces & bracelets?? Hmmmm, what an interesting way to look at it!!
      Happy Monday!

  • PetiteOver40

Great case designs, Jodie!! I have created designs to give as gifts to family using photos of their pets before and they were big hits. It’s funny that I’ve never done that for myself–I’ve always just had a plain one. Your idea of turning it into a promotional tool for your blog is especially smart!

Hope you’re having a great weekend!

    Hugs,

  • Hi Jodie… It’s great to be visiting your online home away from IG. You did a fab job with these cases. They’re so adorable. I’ve seen many of my blogger friends using the Case app to make super cute covers. Thanks for sharing and reviewing.

  • donnanance

Cute phone cases! When my husband retired a few years ago and closed his home inspection business, we gave up our iPhones and went to smaller phones. There are times I still miss some of the features on my iPhone but definitely not the monthly bill…ha! Have a lovely weekend…going to be 75 here tomorrow…woohoo!

    • Jodie Filogomo

When we sold my practice—Rob researched so that we could get our monthly bill down to $30 a month (each) which helped out tremendously. I see even Consumer Cellular has some better deals through AARP, and supposedly you can have a iphone. I’m sure it’s because of the blogging, but I use my phone now more than ever. It’s always funny to me, how I don’t want to get into all of the new technology and then once I do, I’m hooked!!
I hope your weekend is fabulous too, Donna!! Today is going to be wonderful, so we’re going to try to take a walk and enjoy!!
