Flower Garden with Project Sister Act

I appreciate each and every share. Thank you!

Quote of the day: “I don’t think age should dictate what your wear or how you can wear it. I think it depends on the person.” Iris Apfel

I know I don’t post on Fridays but I had the opportunity to join in on a special collaboration! Project Sister Act is an achievement originated by blogger, Sheela. In general, her message is no different than my blog —style is ageless! Any aged woman can wear a certain motif or piece of clothing and look fabulous in it! And how interesting that this same design can look so different on each person, due to one’s own style & interpretation!

The theme this month was flower garden. I’m sure we’ve all read  that flowers on your clothing can be matronly (You’ve seen this said in those magazines that say you shouldn’t wear “whatever”)! YET here are 7 generations to prove that theory wrong! Please take a moment to check out these other blogger’s blogs since we all had the opportunity to interpret this print individually (I spy a t-shirt, a pantsuit, dresses, leggings, booties, pins & trousers)!

So for our looks, I wanted to make sure we didn’t look frumpy or dowdy! You tell me what you think….

50’s Outfit: I wore an all white look with flower accessories. Who cares that I’m wearing white before Memorial Day? The pin is a brooch within a (mom made) brooch–I call that brooch squared!

60’s Outfit: IMO Nancy’s pants are quite the opposite of dowdy—besides isn’t black & white classic?

70’s Outfit: Mom’s flower print is almost retro. I love the different colored shoes & jewelry instead of going with “matching” blue or black.
