Styling Fringe on Different Clothing Items

Quote of the day: “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new” – Albert Einstein

If you’ve been shopping at all lately, you might have noticed that the 1970’s styles seem to be back in fashion. One of the most obvious of these patterns is fringe. And who doesn’t like fringe? It’s fun, it’s flirty—it can be added to almost everything and anything! I’ve read a couple comments on a few different blogs expressing that they feel if they’ve worn a certain style earlier in life, then they shouldn’t wear it again. Well, everyone has their own opinions, but hopefully fringe will be one of those fun details that  you’ll still want to wear!

I wanted to start this series featuring fringe on clothing items. Ta da! I was able to pull 3 different fringed items from our collective closets to show you a couple of options. I’m sporting fringed booties, Nancy has on a kimono with fringe, and mom is wearing a fringe skirt. We also styled fringe with necklaces and then accessories too.

Do you have any fringe clothing items?

50+Outfit: Thanks to my mom for making me this incredible jacket. It was leftover from scraps of fabric from an overcoat she made for herself. And then to my wonderful friend, Kate, who made the purple prayer bead necklace!

If you did wear some fringe in your younger days, that doesn’t mean you can’t wear it again. I think we’ve shown many fun fringe clothing items that still can look fabulous!

Commenting is the greatest compliment you could give!
