Fur for the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s: The Appointment Version
Quote of the day: “The greatest revolution in our generation is that of human beings, who by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.” Anonymous
Most of us would not consider wearing anything with fur to the workplace. And many of you wouldn’t wear them even on the casual day (like I posted here). We all tend to get into habits and we usually bought our fur item with a specific occasion in mind. I’m here to try to widen that view—because if you have the piece of clothing—why not wear it? You can see the “normal” dressy way I styled these same three pieces here.
50’s Fur (Collared Jacket): My good friend, Stacey, gifted me this amber pendant! Doesn’t it work well to tie in the orange tips on my shoes?
60’s Fur (Vest): This belt is part of a dress, but I think it adds a touch of color to this otherwise muted outfit.
70’s Fur (Scarf): I had mom drape her scarf around the neckline of her jacket so it would sorta look like it was made that way.
