Fur Vest for the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s
Quote of the day: “Sharewear: noun: The piece of clothing you and your friends swap and borrow.” Glamour magazine
This fur vest is mine but I really think it’s ageless and perfect for the transition into winter. I got this vest at Sam’s Warehouse (of all places, I know)…but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on one (this was a couple years ago) in case I didn’t end up wearing it much. I also like it because the hood makes it more casual and the back is actually sweater so the fur isn’t quite as overwhelming.
If you don’t have a fur vest in your closet, you could still put these outfits together and match them with a different type of vest. Or a fur vest might be a fun addition to your apparel! You could even borrow/share one with a friend!
Jodie’s (50’s) Outfit: I think any colored jean works with this vest since it’s neutral! If you still have a nice waist, go ahead and add a belt for more interest.

Nancy’s (60’s) Outfit: The obvious pairing is with denim blue jeans to keep it very casual. Since this combo is so casual, I added the mules for a little oomph…you really never want to look too casual in my opinion. Notice that the jeans are a great slimmer fit since the vest is more bulky.
Charlotte’s (70’s) Outfit: My mom is a avid collector of owls and now that they are quite easy to find, her house and closet has been overrun!!! This vest is a good way to add some interest to your fun t-shirts.
