Michele and Mitali as bridging the gap partners

Guest Post Showcasing Michele in Our Bridging the Gap Campaign

Some of the women in our campaign wanted to be involved; however, didn’t have a blog of their own. Thus is the case with Michele and Mitali. These two women met when Michele became a stylist on Mitali’s site. They met for lunch in NYC and got to know each other, thus bridging the gap between the age range. You can read more about the Bridging the Gap campaign, here.

I’ve gotten to know Michele through Instagram and her #thriftedchicstylechallenge that she hosts every month. You might remember me talking about Michele in a couple of my Month by a Sentence Posts. In August, when Michele’s Instagram account got hacked, so some of us women held a Follow Friday for her to try to help her out. It’s been so fun to meet new friends on this social platform.

So here is Mitali’s post to introduce you to Michele.

Michele in the summer

Michele is married to Dave for 25 years and has two grown daughters, Shelby who is 22 and Shaye, who is 19. They also have a fur baby, Mac, her black lab. She absolutely loves the water, and in the summers can be found in her backyard pool. Unless, of course, she’s at the beach!

Michele thrifted

Michele’s love of fashion started early in her teens she would love to thrift shop with her dad.  Then while in college she would restyle and repurpose her clothing and mix vintage pieces with modern.  Today, she is involved as a stylist on Fashom app while working part time as a teacher assistant in a kindergarten classroom. Michele as a midlifer

Today she loves to inspire women to shop secondhand first and hosts a monthly style challenge #thriftedchicstylechallenge. She would love it if you want to join in on the challenge as the next one is November 6th-10th.  You can check out her daily thrifted looks on her Instagram page @seechele_styles.

Michele’s motto is to #shinebright and #livecolorfully.

Bridging the Gap Campaign

Thanks to Beth Briggs for the fabulous graphic she made for our campaign. If you can’t tell a difference between the women in the graphic as to their age, there is a reason for that. Let’s enjoy every woman with what they bring to the table, and get rid of the labels!

If you want to be part of the Forever Fierce Facebook group we would love it!! It is an incredible group of women who can inspire and become new friends. We are here to change the thinking that getting old is bad. Let’s embrace our ages whether they be young or old, and enjoy the strengths that each of us possess!

And make sure to check out all of the women in the campaign. It’s been incredible meeting and finding out about them.

Thanks to one and all of you for your support. It means more than you know!
