50’s Holiday Party Outfit:  So if you don’t happen to have a taffeta skirt in your wardrobe, how about a bright colored midi skirt?  I matched my skirt with a plain black sweater and sparkly necklace to add more glam!

60’s Holiday Party Outfit: For Nancy’s outfit, we’ll take that same black skirt from the previous post and festivize it with a gold, glittery shirt!  The black boots are extremely practical since it’s usually cold in December.

Love your outfit (a soft sweater with a swishy, dressy skirt) and Charlotte’s (a chic dress with a shiny, dressy vest). The jewel tone in both outfits are glorious! Nancy’s outfit looks cute and comfy, but not at all dressy to me. Maybe a shorter skirt or a dressier skirt, and pointier boots?

I can definitely see your point, Kathleen about Nancy’s outfit. One of the things I’ve been surprised about over the years is how casual some woman are even at “dressy” events. So I’ll rationalize that this one goes out to them–ha ha!

  • All the outfits are so festive. I adore the blue and black together. One thing I enjoy when shopping is strolling through all the holiday outfits displayed during the season. Thanks for digging this out and sharing.

It is fun to look back Michelle….I should thank you for the opportunity!!

  • I love that blue and black first outfit- it makes me want to host a party just to wear it!

  • Love that blue skirt, it’s so gorgeous. A perfect pairing with the simple black top. Great outfit! I’d wear it an I’m only 27 haha x

This is Nancy’s best-dressed look in a skirt. I love the black boots she’s paired with it. I’m less a fan of the top, though I hesitate to suggest something else. Charlotte’s boots look great with the red dress she wore in another post, but I’m not fond of the vest she’s wearing. Jodie looks great again. Love the top with the blue skirt she wore in another holiday post and the necklace is a beautiful complement to the sweater.
