Monday’s Amuse Bouche #3-Boot Support

Amuse Bouche (ˈä-ˌmüz-ˈbüsh): literally translated into “mouth amuser”.  Wikipedia definition: a single, bite-sized hors d’oeuvre.

Jodie’s use of the term: a small hint or clever tip!  (Think Hints from Heloise!!)

boot support

It’s important to keep your boots maintained when you are not wearing them!  If you don’t stuff them with something, the calf portion tends to fall over and get creased.  I’ve read you can use newspaper, but an even better idea is egg carton halves!

The advantages of the egg cartons are:

1-The egg carton is cleaner–there is no newsprint to get on your hands or stain the inside of your boot (which can then rub off on your leg).

2– The egg carton comes out in one piece, instead of 4-5 wadded up pieces of newspaper.

3-Doesn’t everyone buys eggs?  Many people, I know, don’t get the newspaper anymore!

Ok…so if you don’t buy eggs here are some boot shapers from Amazon:

Household Essentials CedarFresh Boot Shapers, 2 pairs  These are about $13 for two pair (with shipping)—as of this minute…it can change

Boot support Or a boot organizer for $20

My way is totally cheaper!!!  I stole this idea from my mom!

This week’s styling posts will be about Plaid….stayed tuned!!!
