Pretty Print Coats for Winter

Quote of the day: “Art is not in some far-off place.  A work of Art is the expression of a man’s whole personality, sensibility and ability.” Shinichi Suzuki

A pretty print coat for winter can be found anywhere these days and really stands out in the sea of plain jackets!  As I stated in the earlier post about these coats, the positive element is you need no extra trimmings to doll it up—just throw it on and it’s almost like the coat has it’s own personality!

Jodie’s (50’s) Outfit: I have such an affinity for this coat because I am an avid knitter and this jacket has fiber art all over it!

I realize it’s quite a busy looking coat, but then again so am I!!

Nancy’s (60’s) Outfit: Nancy got a coat similar to mine at the same boutique here in Littleton called Trendz.

It’s such a stunning example of different colors melding together to look like artwork! She does consider it more of a Christmas coat only because of the color combination!! However, I’ve been trying to get her to wear it no matter which month it is!

Charlotte’s (70’s) Outfit: My mother made this coat using a variety of her scraps of material from her sewing passion!  I call it wearable art!

Talk about personality–these coats do all the talking!!

I just love all of these coats! (Charlotte never ceases to amaze me.). One’s coat is on the outside – the first, and possibly only thing to be seen. It needs to be a beautiful, flattering color or pattern and fit.

Ahhhh…that’s exactly how I feel. In fact, I have very few basic colored coats—because the interesting ones just grab my attention so much better!!
