Purple for the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s: Paired with Grey
Quote of the day: “Great opportunity to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day.” Anonymous
To me, color is the fun part of an outfit so I thought I’d do a series on the color purple. Historically this color is relatively rare in nature, thus was more expensive to create. Now we can find it in most everything! So I grabbed a lilac jacket from my closet, a darker purple shirt from Nancy’s closet and lavender pants from mom’s closet to create and show some different combinations. Since it’s starting to cool off where we live and hence we think darker colors, I started off this sequence with using the color grey as pairing to purple.
Jodie (50’s) Outfit: My jacket is that dusty lilac that in some lights actually looks grey! I used to wear it to the office, but I think it can also be worn as a casual piece!

Nancy (60’s) Outfit: Nancy’s shirt is a vibrant shade of purple that is a perfect backdrop to wear a statement necklace. Her sandals are a great multi colored shoe.

Charlotte (70’s) Outfit: The best pictures of my mom (in my opinion) is when she’s laughing!! Doesn’t it just make you smile?
