Adding Another Dress to Your Closet with VIPme
Your wardrobe is full of clothes, I bet; so can you really rationalize adding another dress to your closet? I’m sure this is a question you’ve asked yourself from time to time. Or at least your husband has asked, ha ha!!
But in all honesty, dresses are the first garments I reach for when getting ready to attend either a wedding, gala, date night, or fancy party! As one woman said to me, it’s one and done! Besides, they make you look so put together and feminine.
You may have read the first post showing our dresses from VIPme earlier, and now here are more! These items from VIPme.com’s site are considered flash sales. Jodie’s (50’s) Outfit: This purple jacquard midi dress caught my eye right away when I was perusing the site.
I absolutely love the material and color of this dress, although it’s a little more purple than the burgundy you see on their website.
This is definitely an entirely different look than the other dress I received from VIPme.
It’s not as fitted or sleek as the pink dress (here), but to me, that’s part of the advantage. I want a couple of different styles in my closet, so depending on the occasion, I have what I need!

Now let me give you the low down on this particular dress.
I ordered my normal size using their measurements guide, but this one was a tad big in the torso. So I ended up taking in an inch on each side so the bodice would be fitted. The material is a heavy weight, gorgeous jacquard. The pleats needed to be ironed when I got it because otherwise they jetted out a little too much for my liking.
You can see that it’s definitely longer on me than the VIPme model since I’m only 5’2″. I am seriously considering shortening it about 3 inches in length. But I absolutely love it!! I think it’s one of those items in my repertoire that will get worn to many weddings and parties!!

Nancy’s (60’s) Outfit: You may notice that Nancy received 2 solid colored dresses for her selections.
Not that Nancy never wears a print, but I know that she tends to be more comfortable in the solid colored dresses. Besides isn’t this pink just a lovely color on her?
If you notice, both of these dresses that Nancy received could work with either of the shoes we’ve styled!
And that’s not to say that she doesn’t have any other shoes that would work. Her silver glitter pumps would be perfect also! And then a pearl necklace would make this perfect for a summer wedding guest outfit!
Nancy’s body shape is one that is short waisted.
Therefore I was worried that the top portion would be too long for Nancy. However, it’s actually not super long. We did decide that I’m going to try to take up the shoulder just a half inch, so there isn’t as much material hanging at her waist.
But otherwise, it’s a fabulous fit, and accentuates her waistline so nicely with the attached belt! You may notice that the description for this dress says short. But since Nancy is only 5’0″, the length is great on her! And it comes with the camisole portion already attached, so it’s quite modest.

Charlotte’s (70’s) Outfit: I decided to order a maxi dress for my mom with the thought that then she wouldn’t need to wear hosiery with it.
However, she cracks me up because she says that wearing shoes without hose feels weird to her. Tell me does anyone else experience this?
Now you may not realize it, but this maxi dress is sleeveless.
We added a shirt beneath it for some arm coverage, and it really matches so well. I figured mom could wear many different colors shirts beneath this dress including burgundy, tan or even grey.
As for some details about this dress, let me tell you how it’s worn.
There is a tie that feed through the opposite side of the dress which wraps around and creates the belt. The nice part is that there is a tie on each side so you can feed either tie through either side! And even though it’s a maxi dress, it’s more sheer in the bottom portions, so it doesn’t feel as heavy!
The only bad thing about this dress that my mom is wearing is that it’s currently sold out!
