April Highlights

I appreciate each and every share. Thank you!

April Fun, Shopping and Home Life

Warning. There was an awful lot of online shopping going on in this household this month (and I didn’t even show it all…eeek). Some items I liked so much I signed up to be affiliates for their companies. Why do I do that? So I can give you guys a discount on things that I bet you’ll like too!
And there were many more sunsets from our evening walks that were spectacular. I shared those in my emails when I could!! I hope you enjoyed them.

Day 1: I am so blessed to have such friends that send me fun photos and articles during this stay at home order. Sarah (who joined us on the blog once) sent this photo of a cactus blooming for me to share with my mother since it reminded her of an owl.

Day 5: I bought this dress online, but it wasn’t quite perfect. Luckily the “fixes” were things that were easy, and I discussed them on Instagram.

Day 6: Mother Nature put on a marvelous show on our evening stroll. (No filters needed)

Day 8: All of this binge watching isn’t good for my back. We had to go see the chiropractor. Do you think the sunnies were too much, LOL??

Day 11: Online shopping is the only way to go right now, and I couldn’t let my rewards expire through DSW. So I ended up getting these for $10. I just love lilac shoes for summer. (They come in red and some neutrals too).

Day 12: Happy Easter! I was excited to make Oatmeal Creme Brulee in the crock pot, which had been a favorite of ours in the past.

Day 13: Not only have I been buying shoes as showcased above, but I found some fabulous no show socks (from the company Sheec) to go with many of my shoes. And here’s the detail of how they actually stay in place. The silicone is in the front too, along with a patented technology and design. I have a 15% off code with JODIE but it’s one time only.
There are SO many different styles and they even have them for men. Rob has some too! These are the ultra low sock, because I figured if these can stay up, then the ones that cover more will too. AND THEY DO! I showed these and a couple of other varieties in a recent blog post.

Day 14: Lesley has a pair of Yes We Vibe sneakers in a different print (you can see them when she wore them here). So I wanted to try them out too. They have SO many various prints and a couple of styles of shoes. Even Rob is going to get a couple of pairs. With my codes you can either get 10% off (JODIE10) or buy one get one free on footwear (JODIEBOGO).

Day 15: I’ve been doing quite a bit of online shopping, and this is one of my newest purchases. Obviously I have a lilac obsession lately.

Day 17: I was honored to host a zoom presentation for Allegro Senior Living in Florida. I talked about Color and Accessories. And will be doing it again for 2 of their other locations.

Day 21: We had classic movie night and watched Some Like it Hot with Marilyn Monroe. I’ve been getting such a kick out of these older movies.

Day 22: We had to take our kitty, Monkey for emergency surgery because of an anal gland abscess. She’s at least 17 years old, so we worried that she wouldn’t make it. So far, she’s healing well, which has been a huge relief.

Day 24: The baby quail are the cutest things ever. I’ve been featuring them almost daily on my IG stories They almost look like leaves in the grass, and you should see how cute it is when they scurry after the parents!!

Day 26: Monkey is doing SO much better. She loves to sleep on Rob’s head at night. We call it a cat hat!! LOL! Thank you to everyone who gave well wishes and love for her. She’s such a trooper.

Day 28: Yes, another pair of shoes. How could I not?? They are so me, and were under $30. I’d never heard of the Charles and Keith brand, and I’m swooning over many of their styles and purses. And all quite affordable.
However, I have to admit, they certainly aren’t as comfortable as my Walking Cradles shoes. Not surprisingly I purchased another pair of Walking Cradles sandals too during their sale. You’ll see those soon!!

Thank you
