Black & White for the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s: With another Neutral
Quote of the day: “Taking a step backward after taking a step forward is not a disaster; it’s more like a cha-cha.” Debbie from Weight Watcher’s Magazine
The black & white combination theme continues, and today I explore it with another neutral. This is a great option for those of you somewhat afraid of color. The addition of a neutral helps break up the monotony of the black and white outfit, still keeping it subdued while adding interest (whew—what hard work it does). The common neutrals besides black and white are browns and grays—sometimes called earth tones. Remember these are the exact same foundation pieces in Black & White (Exclusively) & Black & White (With a Color).
50’s Black & White: My neutral of choice for these foundation pieces is tan! My favorite piece of this whole kit and kaboodle is the necklace!!
Skirt: Ann Taylor (similar here)~~Sweater: Jones Wear (similar here)~~Blouse: Chicos (similar here)~~Blazer: Ambition (similar here)~~Boots: American Eagle (similar here)~~Necklace: (similar here)~~Earrings: (similar here)
60’s Black & White: This cardigan is by itself unusual, thus making it easy to switch up the outfits by putting on a different shirt underneath!
70’s Black & White: Here’s a perfect time to pull out the animal print shoes! I actually replaced the buttons on this cardigan for mom to make it more charming!
