50’s 60’s 70’s
Blazer/Jacket for the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s: For Business
I believe that blazers are just as important for women as they are for men. Think of it as a structured cardigan! It can help create your shape, pull an outfit together, act as an outer coat and also keep you warm. You can see these same items styled with jeans and with dresses and skirts.
Quote of the day: “I love getting amazing jackets, because you can wear your pajamas underneath and everyone’s like, ‘Oh, fabulous jacket,’ and I’m like, ‘You should see what’s underneath!'” Mary-Kate Olsen
Jodie (50’s) Outfit: Even though these are vibrant red jeans, adding the blazer makes them look much more business appropriate. This especially works if your office is more business casual.
Nancy (60’s) Blazer Outfit: The print of this jacket pulls the two different solid colors together. This kind of outfit could work in a casual corporate environment or even for a teacher!!!
Charlotte (70’s) Outfit: Since mom isn’t working anymore, her business is helping out at her church. The pants are relatively casual, so by adding the blazer it looks more professional. However since she isn’t going to an official job, I put her in her Keds!
