Chunky Knits for the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s: Over your Jeans
Quote of the day: “Every age can be enchanting, provided you live within it.” Bridgitte Bardot
Thanks to the 80’s decade and our love to hold onto things, I bet there is at least one chunky knit sweater in your closet! One of the secrets of making this older piece of clothing look contemporary, is to pair it with your great fitting jeans. Since the sweater has quite a bit of bulk make sure your jeans are form fitting and straight legged! There is no need to look like a blob! You may think that because it’s getting warmer, you won’t wear this now, however, it’s still cool in many parts of the world, especially in the mornings.
50’s Chunky Knits: My mom actually knitted this sweater for me over 20 years ago! Behold—this is where I get my love of crafting!

60’s Chunky Knits: Considering Nancy’s sweater and jeans are muted in color, this is a great time to add in her leopard shoes for excitement!

70’s Chunky Knits: Considering mom’s sweater’s sleeves are only 3/4 length, we took a layering approach by adding a t-shirt that compliments the sweater ! Just check out her shoes!
