Orange for the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s: the Autumnal Colors

As a continuation to our discussion to incorporate more orange on your frame;  I’ll use it with other autumnal colors.  When I envision wearing these colors, I think about raking the leaves and the colors you see with this chore!

Quote of the day: “Don’t take ‘no’ as a full stop.  Take it as a comma.” Amma Asante

I’ll steer away from the browns since we covered that in the first two discussions, and since I will be using lots of bright colors (more than some of you are used to)…I’ll keep the bottom half simple with blue jeans!  This combination of colors doesn’t have to be limited to the fall months…I think you should wear these colors all year long!

Don’t forget to compare this to Styling Discussion 1 & Styling Discussion 2.

Jodie’s Outfit:

This boiled wool asymmetrical cardigan is truly a go-to sweater for me since it’s so interesting.  I have to admit that the fall colors are some of my faves, and many times I’ll pair this cardigan with a red sweater under it.

Nancy’s Orange Outfit:

This is a wonderful colorful look as the scarf adds a punch of brightness. You could wear this look as it gets warmer with a tank under the jacket (like Nancy has on) or even in the colder months with a long sleeve shirt!

Charlotte’s Outfit:

Here again are those same colors only this time a little more muted.  Putting together these colors is easy if you have a jacket with all the shades in it, and then just pull out one of the colors for your shirt underneath it!
