Daily Looks: Week Ending 3.8.24

I appreciate each and every share. Thank you!

I usually try to incorporate a wide range of colors for my daily outfits, but I ended up copying the same color scheme twice this week.

I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.

Dress: Express-Your Revolving Closet~~Vest: Old Navy~~Boots: Journee Collection -“Maebry

I doubt I would buy a dress like this for my closet, but it was a great one to rent. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it much better in person. In the photos online, it seemed rather blah, but in person it has a warm tint and even glimmers in the sunlight.

If you are wondering why I’d even added it to my closet for the rental service, I knew I could add a colorful topper to make it fun.

And that’s what I did. This lime green, cropped puffer vest tickles my fancy (and it’s on huge clearance right now). The multicolor belt made it more casual also.

Another factor that took away the “dressiness” of the dress is the combat boots (that are also on sale). I have worn these so much this winter. It makes sense since I tend to wear lighter colors and these complement many of my outfits.

Sally, always talks about accessory sets and I realized that I do that with this lime green headband, my glasses, and the lime green ring.
My other set is the belt, bracelet, and earrings.

Did you notice the pearls on the headband? That’s a clip-on earring. I’ve been researching a brand with embellished headbands, so I decided to make my own today.

Leggings: DKNY-Macys~~Sweatshirt: Banana Republic~~Sneakers: Orthofeet “Stroll

We were going to a free yoga workout late this morning, and then the rest of the day was planned for home projects. So I decided to spend an entire day in athleisurewear.

These wild leggings I found at Macy’s for $10, and thought they were fantastic.
For our morning dog walking, I added hand-knit leg warmers and my new favorite sneakers. They will come off during yoga.

I just wrote about these sneakers and how they can be individualized to fit your feet so well. If you struggle with finding shoes that fit, I recommend trying out this brand, Orthofeet, as they are made to help over 20 different foot conditions.

This sweatshirt has been worn with a sequin dress in the past, and then I’m wearing a hoodie t-shirt under it. Under that is a long sports bra so I can undress as the temperature rises.

Dress: Joseph Ripkoff~~Topper: Just Be Youtiful~~Boots: Just Be Youtiful still available online, use code Jtouch15

I was helping out with a fashion show put on by Just Be Youtiful, and the assignment was to show how a dress could be the perfect travel item.

This dress is one that I bought for Rob’s nephew’s wedding over 12 years ago (and that’s why I wore it for a spring wedding post years ago). At the time, I always considered it a “fancy” dress and thus it didn’t get worn a lot.

But now, I try to think of it as a casual dress. Because it’s not just one clothing item that makes an outfit “fancy”, it’s all of the elements.

I included this topper that can be tied a multitude of ways, and then my silver ankle booties.
These boots were an amazing find on Just Be Youtiful’s website and they are still available in gold, silver, or ivory. Considering they are under $50 PLUS you get my discount with the code JTouch15, you just can’t go wrong.

Sizing tip for these boots: Go up half a size to wear socks especially if your foot is medium to wide.

Skirt: JOA-Your Revolving Closet~~Cardigan: Belle de Jour- Goodwill~~Loafers: New Bella-won in a giveaway

I call this my asymmetrical look. With that in mind, I even wore two different earrings which is hard to tell (even in the close-up photo at the top) because they are similar.

This skirt is from the rental clothing service, Your Revolving Closet. I don’t have skirts this color in my collection (shocking, I know), so I might even think about buying it since it’s only $18. I like how the ruching on the side can be pulled up or down because they are tied.

And isn’t rust and turquoise marvelous together? This sleeveless top is a recent purchase from Just Be Youtiful. She might still have a couple in her store.

Then I paired it with a burgundy cardigan that was $1 at Goodwill. Burgundy and rust? I wasn’t sure it would go together, but I think it works.

Originally I tried my turquoise combat boots with it, but they didn’t look right. I like the tan loafers better.

Pants: Banana Republic~~Jacket: Forever 21~~Boots: Cecilia New York-won in giveaway

We are off to the chiropractor which means wearing pants. There was supposed to be a lunch date with friends too, which influenced the fashion choices. But it got canceled, yet I already had this look picked out the night before.

Back in 2020, I shared my color recipe of what to wear with these leopard pants. Surprisingly I don’t think I’ve ever worn them with bright pink, so ta da.

This fringy jacket is one of those examples of fast fashion that people complain about. Yet I bought this off of Poshmark and have worn it multiple times. And I don’t plan to purge it anytime soon, so I consider it sustainable.

I paired a beige t-shirt with it, but it’s a fun t-shirt with a 3-D heart on it from Just Be Youtiful.

Neutral metallic booties finished off the look.

As a quick aside, I “fixed” these earrings. They used to have 2 circles hanging from them, but they were too heavy. So I took my needle nose pliers and removed the second circle. Now they feel much better.

Jeans: Banana Republic~~Jacket: Endless Rose-Your Revolving Closet~~Boots: Kelly & Katie-DSW

I thought it would be fun to copy the above color combination but in an entirely different way. The outfit is still about the pink jacket (although this one is two-toned and cropped, but the other elements have been changed.

This time I wore the leopard print as my shirt under the blazer. This shirt is a tunic-length hoodie that I tucked into the jeans. And my neutral is darker with my black faux leather jeans and combat boots.

Today is another session of dog training classes, so I needed an outfit that would be functional for when Piper gets reactive around other dogs.

I had to add some sparkle by wearing the belt I recently bought from the Ann Taylor site. It’s basically only $20 now with the extra discount they are giving, as long as you need a S or L size.

Thank you
