Daily Looks: Week Ending 5.12.23

I appreciate each and every share. Thank you!

Well, our biggest excitement for the week was the fact we brought a dog into the mix. So now you will be seeing not only cat hair as part of my accessories, but dog fur too, haha.

I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.

Saturday

Skirt: No label-Goodwill~~Top: Chicos~~Sneakers: Adidas-Goodwill

I had to laugh after I put this outfit together because it reminds me of the look I wore to our Chicos event years ago (seen here). It goes to show that we all get into habits of what we pair with what.

I found this skirt (which seems like a LulaRoe skirt but there’s no label) at Goodwill recently for $2. The stretch factor and the colors made me buy it (besides the fact it was $2).

This ruffle, OTS top is a great print mixing item, and I used my black body tape (from this article) for support. The sleeves don’t stay off the shoulder well, so instead of my usual hair tie trick, I decided to try my Glamour magnets instead (I placed them right under the arms on the outside of the sleeve. I made a video to show how I did it.)

Then I added my well loved white sneakers and my Rizen bracelets on one arm, with my Target bangle and wooden thrifted bracelet on the other arm.

Insider discount: has given my readers $10 off with code Jodie10. These corded bracelets aren’t expensive and are a deal with that discount.

Sunday

Pants: Gap-Goodwill ~~Jacket: No label-preloved~~Sneakers: “Sandy”

I’ve been in the habit of buying pants a tad big and so I finally got around to altering this pair. You can see them worn before alterations here. I also cuffed them so they would be cropped for our warmer weather.

I’m casual today because we have a dog date. And I’m working on Monthly Makeover with this black tee. While I don’t wear black often, I am trying to never say never…about everything.

Which bring me to the surprise in how much I just love these black sneakers. Besides the comfort, I find they contrast wonderfully with my bright looks. The reason they are comfy is they are from . The brand concentrates of well made shoes that give support and cushion. This style is called Sandy and comes in a couple of colors.

Insider discount: Jambu extended my discount to May 31, 2023 so use Jtouch20 to save 20% on anything on their site.

Monday

Pants: Inc Beach-preloved~~Top: Old Navy~~Sandals: Marc Fisher-won in giveaway

This outfit was a suggestion by a blog reader, Tresi, who noticed I hadn’t included dark green with my lime green combinations article recently. And what a great idea.

My friend gave me these lime green linen pants and I hardly wore them in Denver. Yet they are absolutely perfect for our AZ summers.

Admittedly I think of this top as a fall or winter one because of the darker color. All three of us have this peasant top in different colors and we showcased how to wear them last fall. Old Navy still has some very similar tops for under $20 if you are looking.

And these shoes I won in a giveaway last year. They aren’t ones I would probably buy on my own, but I have worn them so much and they always get so many compliments.

The necklace is from Just Be Youtiful, and she has a ton of these “girl” necklaces that are fabulous. Just reach out to her and I bet she’ll sell you one. The earrings are still on JBY’s website here. They are super lightweight and come in 6 different colorways. Use code Jtouch15.

The bracelet is a recent purchase from Target (it came with 3 different colors) and I think I like them so much because they are fabric covered instead of metal or plastic.

Tuesday

Skirt: Gap~~Cardigan: I knitted it~~Sneakers: from Belong Lifestyle

I was entralled by the tennis skirts last year and bought this one with some of my points from Gap. I wore it quite a few times last year and I thought it would work even at the chiropractor since there are shorts under it.

You won’t hear me apologize for my pale legs. It’s who I am, and I tried all of the self-tanners years ago. But as much as I’m high maintenance about some things, my skin color is not one of them.

I haven’t been wearing my hand knitted sweaters lately, so I pulled out this shorter, cropped one.

A baseball cap was perfect to tame the hair, and then the animal print sneakers bookended it so well. I went light on the accessories because I have to change for our evening event.

Wednesday

Dress: Max Studio~~Shacket: Southern Soul Collectives~~Mules: Ccocci-Goodwill

I wanted to wear a dress today but it was going to be a cooler day, so I grabbed this sleeveless knit midi (which was the first dress that made me realize they are easier to travel in), and then added a shacket as my jacket.

You’ve seen this shacket before with shorts and it’s from a small company called Southern Soul Collectives, that has size inclusive pieces. Instead of tying the front panels because they make a big knot, I used a hair tie to keep them together.

I wore my ivory mules because it will probably be the last time I can for 6 months. And it may seem weird, but I love my Sheec no-show socks that are made for mules because then my feet don’t sweat and it feels more comfortable.

Insider detail: I am an ambassador through Sheec socks because I love them. Unfortunately they only allow a discount on your first purchase for now, but I hope if you ever order them, you will go through the page on my site, so I get credit. Obviously it’s not a huge commission on a product so inexpensive, but it shows that blogging marketing works.

I also added a couple of fun pins on the pocket of my shacket to make the outfit more casual and whimsical. The clear earrings are from IslyNYC (use code L1QX92I3NS for 10% off.)

Thursday

Pants: NY & Co-Savers~~Shirt: Madewell from Trunk Club~~Sandals: BOC-Bealls

Today is a chiropractor day, so pants are easier. I found this pair thrifting last year and they have a great modern shape. I bought these clog sandals exactly for my summer pants like this that could use a clunkier shoe.

I paired the print pants with a short-sleeve chambray top that I purchased from Trunk Club when I tried them out.

Insider info: Funny story-I never thought I would like those clothing boxes since I love shopping, but I have to admit, it can be convenient and you can find things you never thought about. For instance, I’m a huge fan of chambray shirts, but I never thought to get a short-sleeve one until this one came.

I realize that blingy statement necklaces aren’t all the rage right now, but I still love how it gives the look some sass.

The ranchers hats has been one of my favorite purchases, and it’s still available on Amazon.

Friday

Dress: Velvet Heart~~Shoes: Anne Klein-Goodwill

Curly hair day. I go through spurts of wanting to let it go natural, but I forget how much product it needs in this state.

I bought this dress when Naomi & Ruth was having their closing sale. She is planning a blowout sale on the last remaining pieces in a FB Live soon, so keep your eyes peeled for the announcement.

This dress is the same, lightweight gauzy material that my white tiered dress is (seen in my Puerto Rico outfits). I swear it’s like wearing a nightgown, it’s so comfy,

It came with a self-belt but I decided to wear a contrasting self belt from a different dress.

Insider tip: Hang self belts with belts or scarves so you remember to wear them other ways.

I held the green belt in place with one of my Maggie’s magnets so it wouldn’t be tight yet stay in place. Use code 15Jodiestyle for a discount.

And I carried the green from the belt through the outfit by wearing green sandals and earrings. The earrings are hard to see in this photo, but if you get my email, I included a close up with a question of should I paint them?

Thank you
