Let’s talk variety for the daily looks. I started out with a predominance of the color blue but finally switched it up at the end of the week.
I missed out on wearing shorts but I’ll make sure to include some next week.
I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.
Saturday
Dress: Gilli-Just Be Youtiful code Jtouch15~~Shoes: Vivaia code Jodie for 15% off~~Necklace: Pam Neri
This is the perfect summer, casual dress and I just bought it from the online site Just Be Youtiful. I recently discovered this local boutique and have become a huge fan. Because of that, she has given me a discount code to share, JTouch15.
If you live in Arizona, definitely check out her store too, because it has a different selection from her online site plus local artist’s products.
BTW, I was very impressed with the quality of this dress. Online shopping can be iffy that way, and this knit was soft and thick enough so that it didn’t feel like paper.
I have a massage today, therefore the easy slip-on/off shoes and hat. You wouldn’t think I’d need a jacket in our weather, but inside the shops are always so chilly. BTW, this neon orange jacket was thrifted at Horizon thrift.
Sunday
I found these pants while thrifting last week, and they are perfect for our hot weather. They aren’t linen but rayon.
Olive green ( yes the pants are olive green and not gray) isn’t something I wear much during the summer, so I decided to challenge myself. And pairing it with blue is definitely not my first thought.
But I wanted to try new things. And since this included print mixing, I thought it was fun.
The beret is because of messy hair. And these are new glasses from Glasses Shop.
Insider tip: Glasses Shop is truly budget oriented when you use the code GSHOT35 for 35% off.
The top is from one of my Fashom boxes and you can see here how it has an interesting hemline. But that doesn’t mean you can’t wear it another way which is why I tucked it in. Remember: You are the boss of your clothes.
I also added a third color to the look with my belt, shoes, and earrings.
Monday
The colors in this skirt are what drew me to it when I saw it at Goodwill last week. Of course, finding out it was only $1 was the clincher.
In all reality, I would never have bought this skirt 10 years ago because it’s poufy. Read—not flattering.
But I’ve decided that having the goal to be svelte could be self-centered. We should be working harder to be kind and helpful, not svelte.
So when you wear a poufy skirt, the rule is to wear something more fitted on top, right? Well, I broke that idea with this peplum top. Therefore my middle section is big. Yet, I think I look wonderful.
I wore my favorite Vivaia sandals (the code Jodie gives you 15% off).
I accessorized with a brooch at my waist and tassel earrings. The light blue glasses are new from Glasses Shop. They have the best deals with the code GSHOT35–35% off!
Tuesday
I talked about this dress in my email (do you get my emails?? Make sure to sign up because I share much more there) and this is how I changed up the dress from this post.
This was quite an easy change and I’ve always thought I could also shorten it if I ever didn’t want a maxi anymore.
Insider tip: Those are things that help the sustainability of our closet. I’m a true fix-it girl and if you want ideas, please reach out.
I wore “matching” shoes but I thought it was fun since they are print; therefore, I’m print mixing.
And this belt has been the best purchase. It was last season from Target so not available now, but here is another budget-oriented one.
I went with a head scarf (and tied a knot at the top). My bracelet is one that used to be my Aunt Nancy’s and is wooden so it’s very lightweight.
Wednesday
I just found this maxi skirt while thrifting last week, and it will be one of those that could be pulled up to be a dress too.
What I didn’t realize is that the elastic around the waist is stretched out. BUT…….
Luckily I had the “Beltless Belt” (found on Amazon) to put to the rescue. The advantage of this belt is there is no buckle to create a bump!!
I wore a one-shoulder top (which I’ve had for ages but I’m seeing more of lately), and my turquoise sandals. BTW, I’m wearing an adhesive bra from Amazon to compare to my Gatherall one. It’s not doing well, bummer.
Thursday
This skirt is another deal from our thrifting trip last week, and I bought it for $1.
I love this tunic because of the asymmetrical hem but I don’t wear it much. But I thought it would look great with this fitted (but stretchy) skirt.
The girl necklace is from my favorite local boutique, Just Be Youtiful, and I went with a whimsical shoe color instead of a neutral.
Can you tell that I layered two necklaces too? I don’t do that often in summertime, but luckily these were both lightweight, and we were hanging out inside today (plus we just had a rainstorm last night…that’s why you see curly hair)
Thank you
