Daily Looks: Week Ending 9.27.24

I appreciate each and every share. Thank you!

My outfits may not reflect the calendar, but they worked great for the days at hand. We are still having summer here in Arizona, and I don’t mind dressing the part.
I will say that I have started autumnizing (yes, I made up that word) my footwear as you’ll see more mules and booties this week.

I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.

Saturday

Skirt: Dressbarn-thrifted and DIYed~~Top: Express-Your Revolving Closet~~Booties: Online

This outfit was inspired by a performer we saw yesterday, and I included her outfit in my email. It’s not exactly the same outfit as the inspiration, but the skirt and vibe are similar.

I DIYed this skirt years and years ago. Here’s the tutorial and it’s super easy.

Even though the fringe and cowboy booties give off a Western feel, I liked the dichotomy with the ruffle sleeves and scarf in my hair to bring in some feminine elements.

The pink stone at the waist is a magnet which was a wonderful gift from a reader.

It’s hard to see, but the blouse has a gold metallic thread throughout it and yet I’m wearing silver booties. Mixing metals is modern and fun.

Sunday

Teal Dress: thrifted~~Top Dress: THML-Fashom box~~Mules: Ccocci-Goodwill

I’m layering 2 dresses today.
We think it’s normal to layer 2 tops, so why not 2 dresses?

The blue one was my first thrifted purchase after moving here to AZ and I wore it on our first AZ photoshoot.

The embroidered one is from my Fashom box and I’ve shown how to transform it from summer to winter in the past.

I added my tan mules which have been a great thrifted purchase and a beret.

Monday

Dress: Just Be Youtiful~~Dickey-Just Be Youtiful~~Mules: Vivaia c/o

Today I was honored to present some styling tips and help out at the local boutique, Just Be Youtiful.

Insider tip: While Just Be Youtiful doesn’t have an online store anymore, she will ship in the US. So make sure to check out her FB page and comment on anything that catches your fancy.

I wore this navy dress that saw its way through many countries. For today, I layered my furry, bedazzled dickey under it. (I’ve worn the dickey under a sweater before).

Shoe-wise, I went with mules and then accessorized with charms on my Pair eyewear toppers and charms.

Tuesday

Shorts: Express-thrifted~~Top: from Just Be Youtiful~~Sneakers: Guess-thrifted

Today is Tai Chi and then PT, so I wore athletic wear. My pink top is a sports bra that was worn while dog walking and will be perfect for Tai Chi and PT.

Many of our sports bras are pretty enough to wear as a top as I’ve proven in the past.

I wore my cargo shorts for the first half of the day, and I’ll change to workout shorts for PT.

The sheer white tunic was a recent purchase at Just Be Youtiful and I took the front half and draped it through the “v” neck to shorten the front portion.
What you don’t see is a magnet holding the front drape in place because I don’t like to futz with my outfits throughout the day and I wasn’t sure it would hold otherwise.

I wore floral sneakers that were thrifted and some pink accessories.

Wednesday

Dress: Kobi-Just Be Youtiful~~Sandals: Rag & Co-DSW

This is a new brand that Just Be Youtiful is carrying, and in case you didn’t notice, this is even a cutout dress. Kym was very excited to offer it and even said she could pull it off. The advantage is that you can tie the bow farther down and it covers the midriff.

So why even have an opening like this?? Let me tell you that it’s cooler when it’s so hot outside. Even if the ties cover it, you get a nice breeze where it’s not connected.

I decided to accessorize with green. My mules, a pin at the bowtie at my waist, my necklace, and earrings are all green.

What you don’t see is that I’m wearing half socks with these mules. I couldn’t wear the half socks Monday because of how high Monday’s mules were cut and I missed them terribly. If you ever wear mule shoes, you should try them. You might not think they would be so wonderful, but they are.

Friday

Overdress: Just Be Youtiful~~Sandals: Cambiami c/o

I fell in love with this overdress at Just Be Youtiful’s fashion show a couple of months ago and finally pulled the trigger to purchase it. It’s one of those pieces you wear with other things (you wouldn’t wear it on its own), and I think it adds so much personality to a look.

I wore it over a sports bra because we are going to Zumba later today.

Insider tip: I’ve shown how this exact sports bra can be worn as a top. The same goes with tankinis.

The white shorts are ones I DIYed by cutting off the legs of this pair of pants.

This changeable sandal company is still having its end-of-summer sale, use the code SUMMER40 to get a fabulous deal. My insider advice is threefold:
1- Don’t get the patent straps because, with my blue ones, the color rubbed off. (It didn’t happen with these yellow ones, but I’d rather you be safe than sorry).
2-The wedge sole has better arch support.
3-I sized up on the straps so there is more give.

I’m wearing a headband that I covered with a scarf. It’s a fabulous trick I’ve found. This headband is from the company that makes truly comfy headbands, but they are expensive. So now I can have a variety of colors and prints with the same comfort.

Thank you
