Easter Outfits with VIPme.com
So if you’re anything like me, Easter means a new outfit! Not that I need anything new, but the holiday is usually around the beginning of spring, and it’s always fun to get something different. Although I realize that Easter is still a month away; it’s never too early to start planning, especially if you want to order something online!
I’ve been a huge fan of VIPme.com ever since I saw one of their items on another blogger last year! They are kind enough to send us each an item of clothing, but I don’t get anything else to introduce you to them! I just find so many of their pieces to be so beautiful and drool worthy and usually under $100! Their site is quite extensive, so I also showcased some other lovely items below! And if you want to order, take advantage of the discount I can provide:
As for the Easter holiday, I find it quite frustrating when I plan on wearing something and the weather says otherwise. So I thought for our items from VIPme.com, I would try to show 2 scenarios. One when the weather is just lovely, and you can bare your legs. And the other when Mother Nature brings on a storm and you need to keep covered!!
And since I realize that there are quite a variety of different looks that women wear for Easter or even Mother’s Day—I thought I’d show an assortment of items. I chose a blouse, Nancy got a dress/tunic, and mom received a duster/cardigan!
Jodie’s (50’s) Warm Temperature Outfit: I’ve been oogling over the fun sleeve details that I’ve seen everywhere lately! And then add these lively colors to the shirt and I knew I’d wear this one a ton! The shirt is a silky material with elastic at the bottom! I always like the elastic detail at the bottom of a shirt, because then I never need to decide whether to tuck it in or leave it out!

The blouse has this interesting pearl tipped stick across the front. You do need to unscrew it to get it over your head, but then you can also leave it off if you don’t like it (or decorate it with something else like I did below)!

I tend to think of Easter as the time to wear a lot of color, so I paired this with my yellow skirt! Hey, at least I kept the shoes more muted!
Skirt: LOFT (similar here in a lighter yellow or here in a jersey knit)~~Top: c/0 ~~Shoes: (similar here with a lower chunky heel or here with ties)~~Earrings: (similar here)~~Sunglasses: LOFT (similar here)
Jodie’s (50’s) Cold Temperature Outfit: For the cold weather outfit, I decided to put on trousers and a turtleneck. I didn’t want to cover up the blouse so you wouldn’t be able to see the fun flare on the sleeves!

Yet, I wanted to try to show a different color scheme for this look! I picked my plum trousers, and included my yellow pumps (I had to sneak the yellow in there somewhere!)! Since I had to take the pearl stick out from the collar to change outfits, I decided to see if I could switch it up! So I tried placing a cuff bracelet in the grommets!

If this print is too bright for your taste, it also comes in green, pink or white as a solid colored blouse!
Pants: LOFT (similar here not as dark or here in a slim version)~~Turtleneck: (similar here)~~Top: c/o~~Shoes: Aldo (similar here)~~Earrings: (similar here in a circle or here in silver)~~Sunglasses: (similar here)
Nancy’s (60’s) Warm Temperature Outfit: Since everyone’s definition of an Easter outfit is different, I thought I’d try to show a dark item too! And then for the holiday, I added in bright accessories! We picked bright blue for the first outfit, but I think any bright colored necklace & earrings would pop against the grey & black.

Now, if you look closely at this dress on VIPme’s website, you may notice that the bottom hem is different. Nancy & I decided to cut off one of the layers so it wouldn’t be as much material (it’s actually just pinned up in these photos–but it’s on my list of alterations to do!).

Dress: c/o (here)~~Shoes: Nine West (similar here)~~Necklace: (similar here with blue)~~Earrings: (similar here)
Nancy’s (60’s) Cold Temperature Outfit: When I ordered this dress, I figured it would be a perfect tunic for layering over leggings! But why not layer on top of the dress too? That’s where the orange cardigan came in! If Mother Nature does give us a spring storm, Nancy will be ready for it!

If we were styling from my mom’s closet, we probably could have found some orange shoes to match, but instead we went with the tried and true black shoes! We added in some melon & orange accessories instead!

For those interested, I would say that this dress runs bigger than most of the items we get from VIPme! The asymmetrical aspect of the hemline and the color blocking make it unique, and the reason I picked it for Nancy!
Dress: c/o~~Legging: Cold Water Creek (similar here)~~Cardigan: (similar here a darker orange)~~Shoes: Charles by Charles David (similar here in leather)~~Necklace: (similar here in turquoise)
Charlotte’s (70’s) Warm Temperature Outfit: For my mom’s Easter piece, I picked out this green cardigan! It’s such a bright & vibrant color with my mom’s complexion! Even if the weather is nice, my mom and I always run cold, and take some kind of covering with us wherever we go! That was the reasoning behind choosing this item for mom!

I wanted to keep mom’s outfit nice and light under the cardigan. She’s wearing a blush skirt and ivory shell that she made many years ago! We matched mom’s necklace to the painted floral design on the side of the duster! You can see the design in more detail below!

Charlotte’s (70’s) Cold Temperature Outfit: To keep mom warm in case the weather decides to be nasty for the holiday, I had mom put on her black pants and a long sleeve shirt!

Of course mom wanted to match her green shoes to the long cardigan! You know how my mom loves her shoes almost as much as I do—that’s why there is a pair of green shoes in her closet! And then here’s what the floral design looks like up close!

This cardigan/duster is a crinkly knit material that drapes nicely. It is fully lined, but sometimes the lining shows in the front when we took photos. My mom thinks that’s because the lining is a different material than the duster!
