Since it is Valentine’s Day next week, I felt compelled to pull out all kinds of red, pink, and Valentine’s day colors.
As you see all of this from my closet, you might be surprised to know that I didn’t wear pink much when I was working as I didn’t consider it a professional color!! Funny, right?
Saturday
I pulled out a couple of sweaters I wanted to put into the rotation before it got too hot. It’s been the perfect “spring” weather here lately, and I’m loving it.
The yellow skirt is actually the dress that I found at a local thrift store. You can see it styled with all kinds of tops/jackets I also found there in this short video.
Ever since I saw a blogger pair pink and yellow, I became a huge fan. And this sweater has been worn before here. Since it’s an Amazon find, it’s even still available and on sale.
The snakeskin boots are definitely one of those statement kinds of boots and I adore them.
The faux fur scarf is either a scarf or headwrap, but I tied a tiny scarf around it to add more extra to the look.
Would you like to see the overcoat, details, and entire look when I went out for the day? Here’s that video.
Sunday
I recently bought this lime green sweater vest from my friend’s online store. While I don’t NEED any more clothes, I love supporting the small businesses that I know because they really need our help more than the big box stores.
This sweater is another I pulled down to wear soon. Because of the embroidery on the sleeves, I usually wear it with a vest. You saw it with a much darker look here.
Next came the jeans, and I wanted something lighter than grey or black, so I chose pink. Pink and green is another favorite color combination!!
These shoes are Walking Cradles called the Wyatt. Super comfy and yet so cute and stylish. Yes, I have on my Sheec Socks because they help my feet from getting all sweaty. BTW, I’m wearing the ultra low cut style, but with these shoes, you could possibly wear the mid-cut.
Lime green glasses from Glasses Shop (you can find the discount code under Shopping (Companies I work with). When I can get progressive glasses that include transitional lenses for under $200, then you realize why I have so many pairs to match my outfits.
Monday
My goal lately is to be pulling out pieces that haven’t been worn as much. Yet the only thing new in this outfit are my shoes from when Walking Cradles had an amazing sale.
This long vest was from when the Limited went out of business (that goes to show how old it is). I have worn it with leggings before (beware, I didn’t love that look).
Insider tip: Remember a vest can be styled over a jacket. I talk about many ways in my short YouTube video. Don’t be put off that I used faux fur vests, because any vest would work.
And I’m wearing it over a plaid, mohair jacket that my mom made. Check out how all of the original models have a clothing item made of this material.
Since the vest is flowier, I wore my coated, navy skinny jeans. Would you believe that the navy “shirt” is my workout bra top?
Then for the extra, I added a totally different color of teal with the shoes, flower pin, and earrings.
Tuesday
So this navy “shirt” layered under the sleeveless top is actually a sweater. It’s one of the sweaters I pulled out to wear before it gets too hot, and I decided to wear it UNDER something instead of over something.
Both tops are Cabi brands. The sweater was thrifted and the top was given to me by a friend.
Then the pink denim skirt gets worn with green a lot as you can see in this post. This skirt was a steal at the end of the season and I love the raw hem and how much it stretches for comfort.
And then my pink combat boots. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I bought these. These aren’t as heavy and clunky feeling as my floral combat boots. And they are still available at DSW.
These fabulous heart earrings are from two sisters who sell from their Instagram page. Check out all of their fabulous items.
Wednesday
More pink for the week, and this time I paired it with green. It’s one of those color combinations that take me back to my high school days of preppiness!!
We are heading to the thrift store today for collaboration with Savers (isn’t that exciting?). SO on days I know I’ll be shopping, I don’t wear dangling earrings or necklaces. The scarf I can take off and attach to my purse.
That’s why I added the brooch. I’ve been adding them to outfits more since we had our collaboration about them.
Nothing is new here. The skirt is from our favorite boutique in Denver. The green sweater was thrifted in Denver (Nancy wore it here) and the vest was from a thredUp collaboration (seen here).
The silver sneakers are a pair of Orleans by Walking Cradles. Of course, I’m wearing my Sheec socks too especially since we are thrifting and I’ll most likely be trying on shoes.
Thursday
The only reason I wore this cardigan is that my friend has one just like it and we thought we’d wear them together and show 2 ways to style it on Instagram.
I still incorporated some red into the looks with one of my Gibby’s scarves braided (see how I did it in this short video on Instagram here).
The belt is a self-belt from a different dress.
Insider tip: I like to hang all of my self belts with my leather belts so they are all together.
The yellow dress is a sleeveless, summer dress, but the cardigan kept me warm in the morning.
These flats are more of an olive color but I thought they acted as a good neutral. They are actually the new Vivaia flats that I am trying out for a review on Instagram. I didn’t request this color, but it’s the color they sent me.
Read more about these shoes made from water bottles here.
At least the shoes were comfy enough to wear all day. These are basically like the Rothy’s you see everywhere.
Friday
You might need your sunglasses for this outfit, haha!! I found this entire outfit at the secondhand store, Savers, who I’m going to work with on an Instagram collaboration.
I decided to look for some statement pants, and this bright orange was a pair of Ann Taylor pants that caught my eye.
The hot pink top is from Zaras, and the belt marries the two bright colors together so fabulously.
The shoes and even all of the accessories are also from Savers.
There are just times that the thrift stores are full of treasures. Especially if you are looking for some of the upcoming spring trends (and I’ll spill the beans that bright colors are one of those trends).
