February is the Month of Love

If someone asked you what you did this February, what would you say? I think it can be so hard to remember specific days and events when every day goes by in a flash, right? So I joined up with a couple of other bloggers to keep track of the month of February with a sentence and some photos. There’s a link up below if you’d like to see the other’s participating in this project, and a huge thanks for Leslie for organizing us!!

Mom and Nancy in February

2-1: The month starts off with another fun photo shoot with my moms. We tried a 100% gluten free place called Vital Root, which really was fabulous.

2-2: We met up with friends for dinner and then ventured over to see their place that they are updating with new floors, walls and everything.

2-3: Another night, another meet up with old friends. This time the friends are from dental school and the place is sushi!

Organizing in February

2-4: I know it’s the SuperBowl but Rob is boycotting the NFL right now, so we finally hung up the cubbies from IKEA to help organize our jeans. I absolutely love this method. We started with a sweater organizer in this spot, but the jeans were too heavy for it.

2-5: I worked on alterations for a dress for a friend. Considering I never needed to know how to sew because I always let my mom do it, it’s a nice skill to have.

Womens Shoe shopping in February Mens Shoe shopping in February

2-6: Confession….I have a shoe addiction. Many of you already know this, and truthfully I could blame my local DSW. They always have some of the best deals around.

2-7: Haircut day for both Rob & I which means a little vacation like day. We travel up to Cherry Creek and usually go out for coffee and other such fun things…

Red Rocks in February Red Rocks on a February morning

2-8: I’ve been working with Puritan’s Pride for a couple of Instagram posts, so we traveled up to Red Rocks for some fabulous scenery this morning. The Puritan’s Pride’s Vit. D post was Rob’s favorite one so far.

2-9: For some reason we have a bunch of get together with friends this month. Tonight we met with Carol & John at a Ali Baba’s, where the place had the coolest decor.

2-10: It snowed, so we stayed inside with the fireplace going, hot chocolate to drink and watching movies!

2-11: We didn’t even leave the house today even though the weather wasn’t bad. There was a nap and wine included in the day!

February fun

2-12: Now don’t get too excited but we finally ventured out of the house to get some…….new toilet handles! I’m sure everyone else has been wanting these too, LOL! However, they have made our toilets flush SO much better. Who would’ve thought??

2-13: Today was a trip with Nancy to finish up some business about her new, upcoming house plans.

February heart leggings

2-14: Happy Valentines Day. We actually celebrated our anniversary with breakfast out since we figured it wouldn’t be as crowded! And of course I had to wear my heart leggings.

2-15: It was photo shoot day with my moms.

Out with friends in February

2-16: Another Friday night meant another fun evening with friends.

2-17: Nancy took Rob & I out to dinner as a celebration of our 14th Anniversary.

2-18: We scheduled a couples massage as a belated anniversary gift along with the fact that I got my first pedi of the season!

Forever Fierce in February

2-19: Did you know this was National Forever Fierce Day? You can read my post showcasing some of the women I know as fierce. And it’s never too late to join the Midlife Revolution on Facebook. It’s a wonderful group of women that are tremendously supportive.

2-20: 2 words: Stomach Flu

2-21: I’m so glad there was nothing on the calendar for these last days, so I could recover.

February photo shoot at Wings over the Rockies

2-22: More photos with my moms and this time we even made a fun field trip out of it by visiting Wings over the Rockies.

2-23: Another fun evening with friends. This couple is part of the reason I graduated dental school because Liz has my junior and senior proficiency in her mouth, LOL. Talk about a lot of history together.

2-24: Not only am I packing for our upcoming trip to AZ, but a quick trip to LA right after that. So I figured I’d pack for both at the same time.

2-25: Leaving on a jet plane to Phoenix to see our Snow Bird Neighbors. I showcased both of them last year on the blog when we were there!

2-26: We got to go to the Phoenix Botanic Gardens & the Butterfly Area. These statues were part of a visiting artist at the Gardens.

2-27: We were lucky to visit an American Indian museum while we were in Phoenix. And I was able to meet up with Cheryl, my Fierce 50 partner.

2-28: Coming back to the cold weather from Phoenix is never easy….
