Fur Vest for the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s
Quote of the day: You don’t become great by trying to be great. You become great by wanting to do something and then doing it so hard that you become great in the process. Randall Munroe.
A vest is so very utilitarian….for those of us who are always cold, it actually keeps you warm since it’s around the core of the body . For those of you who are always hot, it’s a nice layering piece that doesn’t cover the arms and you can leave it open. It’s also a great way to cover up a large chest.

50’s Fur Vest: A denim skirt is casual like jeans, yet somewhat more upscale. These are also my new favorite shoes: neutral on the front but interesting on the heel!

60’s Fur Vest: Nancy calls this her butt-hugging dress, so here’s one way to take the emphasis of the dress off the butt. The vest & the shoes attract attention so it’s a great way to divert unwanted attention elsewhere.

70’s Fur Vest: So I love this vest over a plain dress which adds interest! I know the tendency for people is to dress more casual once retirement sets in, but since the vest is casual in itself, it’s nice to add a little polish; besides the dress is truly casual. I know my mom is not comfortable with bare legs, so a sheer hose is acceptable for those of you in the same boat. The scarf adds color to the otherwise neutral outfit.
