How to Style Boots with Jeans
Lesley is showing us how to style boots with jeans. If there’s one thing that every woman’s closet needs it’s definitely ankle boots and denim.
Quote of the day: “True happiness consists not in the multitude of friends, but in the worth and choice.” Ben Jonson
I know I am all about getting great deals and not spending a ton of money on most pieces in my wardrobe. However, there are a couple of exceptions. Bras, coats and shoes. These are the things I have been known to spend more on for better quality. Kinda like the quote above.
Since it’s definitely boot weather, the three of us are happy to showcase some fabulous ankle boots from Jambu. My mom chose to match the pumpkins while I showed off some midriff action. The best part is seeing more about where we took these photos.
This is a sponsored post which should make you happy because you can get 20% off any purchase from Jambu with the code JTOUCHF19 until November 18 .
How to Style Boots with Jeans from Lesley
Lightweight sweaters are a great way to transition to the fall weather around here. I’m sure you can appreciate that it’s not too tight and thus cooler than some other sweaters. Besides, it’s the perfect backdrop for Lesley’s scarf along with matching her booties.
Many women I meet still won’t wear hats. But I’m telling you, they are such a great accessory. Especially when you are outside for extended periods of time. Just like when we went apple picking and I included some practical tips for these outdoor situations.
As for Lesley’s hat. This one has quite a bit of sentimentality involved. This used to be her late husband’s grandfather’s hat. It was passed down to her husband, and when he recently passed away, she decided to keep it for herself. She added a burlap flower to it (she pinned it on) to give it more of a feminine vibe.
For those who complain about having a big head for hats, maybe checking out the men’s hats would be better? Heck, I’ve worn Rob’s hats many times. Adding a brooch, pin or even a scarf to it can make it feel more yours.
Lesley is a pro at using the scarves she has in her collection. And you thought when I started off with scarves as her introduction to the blog was just a whim?
And she picks up fabulous items everywhere just like my mom. For example her tote is from a Hallmark store.
The White Blouse
Even though you don’t see white blouses touted as the piece to have much anymore, I think they really are. We have gotten creative with these items in the past by wearing them under a dress, as a jacket, and even wearing it with another blouse.
Heck, Chicos even has stain resistant white blouses for those of you who claim to be messy. I have two (yes, I bought another pair when they were on sale), pairs of these kinds of jeans. And I even tested them out with soy sauce.
Jambu Emery Booties
These are the Emery booties from Jambu. Lesley chose these because of the color and the elastic on the sides. This is the taupe and also comes in black and brown. Do you know what taupe is? It’s that combination of grey and brown and these really do look like both colors depending what you wear them with.
The website does suggest sizing up half a size with these booties. Lesley is wearing her normal size, but needed a thin sock to make them work with a puffy area on her foot due to arthritis.
In Lesley’s words, “This is my first experience with them (Jambu) and I’ve been really impressed. Boots/booties are always a problem for me with my high arch. These fit like a glove and go on easy even without a zipper. The heel is a great height, flattering to my legs but comfortable to wear.”
AND…the best part? These are even on sale!!
Jeans and Booties
There are many ways to wear your jeans with ankle booties. If your jeans are tight enough, you can always tuck them into your boots. You can cuff them, let them hang over the boots, or like Lesley’s done, fold up the jeans.
If you’re not sure which way looks best with your particular jeans and boots, remember to take a photo in the mirror. This is a great way to see your outfit in a different perspective.
