It’s only normal to think that our cropped trousers should be worn only in warm weather however, it seems more budget-friendly as well as environmentally smart to be able to wear things all year long if possible.
It is easier to wear your summer things in winter because you can layer. That’s one of the secrets to staying warm. Find the right layering pieces.

Lesley shared that she made these pants cropped by shortening them. Her mindset was that she didn’t need dressy long pants like these, so why not make them more stylish?
And for women who run on the hot side, it only makes sense that you could wear your cropped trousers with bare legs.
Insider tip: Lesley admits that if it was cold outside, she would wear her Uggs and change shoes when she got to her destination.
Jodie: Showcase Your Socks with Cropped Trousers
Socks or tights could be the best addition to how to wear cropped trousers in winter and stay warm. I mean, heck, there are fleece-lined tights if you really need a warm layer.
I’ve worn these white culottes eons ago with tall boots. This time, I wanted to include an interesting pair of socks to pair with them.
The plaid socks are compression socks and therefore are nice and warm besides being functional.
Insider tip: This rust top is a bodysuit but instead of snapping it under my crotch, I found a better way to wear it.
This also helps if you have a taller or shorter torso than normal.
Insider tip: This would be a great way to wear some of your print workout leggings too.
Charlotte: Keep Warm Wearing Cropped Trousers
Wearing tall boots with your shorter pants is what I consider ideal. You get to see the boots and you are keeping warm. Even though this pair of cropped trousers is linen, the rest of the items make it work for the chilly temperatures.
I love how my mom added the yellow accent color to the brown outfit.
