Introducing and Comparing 3 Versions of Aetrex Footwear and a Giveaway

After winning a pair of Aetrex shoes from an Instagram giveaway, I wanted to introduce you to this brand. Comfortable shoes can be almost as elusive as a comfortable strapless bra (which I am researching as we speak).

Quote of the day: “Faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Martin Luther King Jr.

It’s hard to believe all of the claims for items we see nowadays. That’s why it’s nice to get reviews from people you know and love.
Therefore, I reached out to the brand to see if they would like to work with the three of us. While they didn’t pay me for the post, they did gift all three of us different versions of the Aetrex footwear along with offering TWO readers a chance to win a pair of their own.

The giveaway is at the end of this post, and I am including the reviews below for the sneakers, ballet flats and ankle boots. Here is a little more information about the Aetrex brand (provided to me by Aetrex):
1. It is a family owed business based in NJ with over 70 years of experience in foot health.
2. Their products have arch support that is doctor recommended to help relieve foot pain such as heel pain, arch pain and plantar fasciitis.
WHY: The arch support is a bit further back than other brands. With years of data from foot scanners (which fit customers for custom select orthotics), Aetrex has confirmed that arch support needs to be based on your bone structure rather than the outer appearance of your arch, and customers RAVE about our arch support relieving pain and changing their lives.

In all honesty, it’s been nice to find comfortable shoes that look stylish. For sizing reference, Aetrex is available from 5-11 in medium widths and they have some selection of wide widths here.

Aetrex Athleisure

I chose the Allie Arch Support sneakers to replace my Skecher sneakers that I use for working out. However I wanted a pair that I could wear for exploring our area that would still look fashionable. These are the rose color yet they also come in grey and black.
Sneakers have become a fashion statement in this more casual world, and for this outfit, I tried to imagine them like a short ankle boot or loafer.

My Review of the Allie

What is so impressive to me is how the sneakers are made of this stretchy knit material. ALL of the Aetrex athleisure sneakers are this way which is VERY comfortable. This enables them to stretch and not constrict on your feet. In fact, I’d call them leggings for your feet.
I took these sneakers on our trip to Denver and wore them when we walked the neighborhood every day. They are extremely lightweight (perfect for traveling) and I loved them.

Aetrex Flats & Slip Ons

Lesley chose this Lyla Ballet Flat to replace her current navy flats that are worn out. This same version also comes in black, bronze, cognac, and sunflower.
She is wearing these with a basic capri pants and tee outfit and then added flair with her kimono and statement necklace.

Lesley’s Review of the Lyla

Lesley’s first observation is that these were a true navy leather. She commented to me that there are many tones of navy, and she liked how this was the darker version.
Personally Lesley has a very narrow heel, so she had to add heel grips to the back to keep it from slipping as she walked. Yet she wore these all day for running errands and to work. There was a minor rub on her one big toe by the end of the day, but it stretched enough that she didn’t notice it the second time she wore them.

Aesthetically Lesley was pleased with the fact that the toe was not extremely round which she feels make the style appear somewhat frumpy (her words). She would call them more of an oval and very flattering.

Aetrex Boots

Charlotte tried out the Laurel Ankle Bootie because it’s such a classic shape. This color is the whiskey and it comes in warm grey, leopard, black, wine and espresso.
While many don’t think of boots when living in Arizona, the shorter ankle boots are the perfect transition to the somewhat cooler weather.

Charlotte’s Review of the Laurel

Since my mom is now in her 80’s, she doesn’t wear quite as many high heels as she used to wear. That’s why she really liked this pair of booties. The heel is only 1.5 inches, yet it still looks fashionable.
She also like the side zipper detail so it makes the boot easier to get on and off.

As for comfort, she thought they fit perfectly and were true to size. They will be a wonderful addition to her closet for all of our exploring that we plan to do in Arizona.
