It’s Here—Day 4 of My Blogaversary Party
Welcome back to another episode of virtual partying to celebrate my 6th year blogging! Are you having fun?? Make sure to invite all of your friends to join the fun!! I always say the more, the merrier. And we can all use a little Merry right now!!
And how do you have a party virtually?? Well, I decided that we needed music, food and of course lots and lots of giveaways!!
So EVERY day this week, you’ll be able to hear one of Rob’s original songs, enjoy some marvelous food recipes (and sometimes drink recipes) contributed from my talented friends, AND enter giveaways!!
I hope all of you have as much fun this entire week with my daily party favors as I did putting this together!! Let me set the stage!!!
Imagine entering the party, and the first thing you hear is music (and let’s pretend there are balloons, confetti and lots of beautiful decor too).
Many of you don’t realize that my husband started his musical career at the young age of 4 on the Sonny Fox show playing the vibes. He’s written and sung many, many songs since then, and I hope you enjoy. I’m linking to YouTube so you can play the song while you read the rest of the post!
This song called, Look Out, is a song recorded in the 1980s. Rob apologizes for the fuzzy sound because he had to tape it from a cassette tape (remember those?) to a movie editor.
We all know that no party is complete without some fabulous food and drinks. I begged a couple of my foodie friends to share some of their recipes for my party guests. I’m sharing the recipe here and some information about each of these friends. I truly hope you will also take the time to visit them. Because isn’t that what a party is all about? Meeting and chatting with others?
I know Wendy through our Forever Fierce group. She lives in Australia, so while I’ve never met her in person, I have talked to her through Zoom many times!! She is the founder of Wendy’s Way to Health, where she shares healthy recipes, tips and info for healthy living at any age. She is currently launching some exciting new programs and courses that break down making healthy changes into simple steps, so that they are doable no matter how full your life is.
Wendy is sharing her Easy Chocolate Truffle recipe. On her original recipe on her site, she also gives some insights into why it’s good to have these and the prep time for them.
EASY CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES
This recipe will make 10-12 truffles, depending on the size you make.
Be sure to allow plenty of time for the truffles to set in the fridge.
Use the best quality dark chocolate you can find, with at least 70% cocoa.
• 200 g dark chocolate, chopped (minimum 70% cocoa)
• 150 ml double cream
• Whatever you like in your truffle centres: orange rind, chopped nuts, dried fruit, your favourite liqueur, such as Cointreau, etc
• Cocoa or cacao powder, dessicated coconut, or extra melted chocolate for dusting/coating
• Break the chocolate into small pieces and combine with the cream in a medium sized bowl. • Heat over a saucepan of simmering water. Keep the heat low and keep stirring until the chocolate is completely melted and you have a smooth mixture. • Remove from the heat, stir in any desired filling such as chopped nuts, or orange rind and Cointreau.
• Cover the bowl with cling film and place in the fridge for 30-60 minutes, until the mixture is firm, but not completely set.
• Remove from the fridge and roll into balls. • Place the truffles on a tray lined with baking paper and put them back into the fridge for another hour. • Coat the truffles by rolling in dessicated coconut, cocoa powder or melted chocolate and put back in the fridge for 2-3 hours to set.
Who doesn’t like winning fun stuff?? I am EXTREMELY grateful to all of these wonderful small businesses and people who have contributed their goods/services to make my anniversary party special.
Make sure and enter all of the different multiple giveaways each day and keep your fingers crossed that you win.
EACH day’s giveaways will be available to enter for just 2 days, so don’t delay!!

Giveaway 2-goPure Serums
I’ve been working with goPure for a couple of years now. In fact, they are one of the brands that I’ve continued to purchase products from even after working with them as written up in a blog post.
While I really like all of their products, one of the items I use daily is the rosehip oil like I’ve discussed in how I keep my foundation in place all day.
I also love all of the serums. I use the original ones in the summer (because they are thinner) and these Actives in the colder months.
goPure is giving away 3 of these Actives Firm & Lift Serums as pictured above to one lucky winner. I use this every night before my moisturizer!
This giveaway is for USA only.a Rafflecopter giveaway

Both Nancy and I showcased how these work when we went out on the town one evening.
