Jodie's Touch of Style in June

June Day by Day

If someone asked you what you did this June, what would you say? I think it can be so hard to remember specific days and events when every day goes by in a flash, right? So I joined up with a couple of other bloggers to keep track of the month of June with a sentence and some photos. There’s a link up below if you’d like to see the other’s participating in this project, and a huge thanks to Leslie for organizing us!!

6-1: How is it that a Target run to look at bathing suits can end up costing $200?

Green dress from Target in June

6-2: This green dress is one of the purchases from yesterday’s Target run. I grabbed it on the way to the checkout counter without even trying it on. I did shorten the straps by an inch, and wore it out to run errands. You can see it on InstagramSidewalk Art Festival in June

6-3: We went down to the Larimer Square Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival and enjoyed the art so much. If you follow my Instagram stories, I apologize with adding so many on it. But they are all so amazing and creative, and it’s hard to remember they are just chalk, and will be washed off that evening.

6-4: One of those days we didn’t leave the house, but I am working on using a quiz for the blog. It’s things like this that take up so much time.

6-5: We went to our weekly stretch class. Now I am patting my back for doing this, but you should see how much my fellow bloggers work out. I need to stop being so lazy and get moving more!

6-6: Haircut day. I know I say this all the time, but I absolutely love getting my hair cut and styled.

Rocky Mountains in June

6-7: It was our last photo shoot together before Nancy is taking her sabbatical for her house move. So she wanted to explore the Betty Ford Garden in Vail. It’s amazing that there is still snow up on them mountains.

6-8: I met a friend for a walk around Clement Lake. We used to do this more regularly, and hopefully we will be able to again!

Townhouse party in June

6-9: We had our townhouse summer party! It’s so funny how we hibernate all winter, and once the weather heats up, we finally get to catch up on everyone’s lives. Not only was there food, but also some live music.

6-10: We traveled out to Lesley’s house to go over some outfits for the couple of blog posts that she’ll be helping us with.

June Moon Pod

6-11: Thanks to Anne, who emailed me about this super interesting sculpture that plays music based on the fullness of the moon. We traveled down to Colorado Springs to explore it and take blog photos.

6-12: Both Rob & I worked on the computers all day. And people think that bloggers don’t work much…ha ha!

June backyard fun

6-13: Knit day was at Kay’s house today because she has the most amazing back yard for summer knitting. She also has some ducks that come visit her pond. They aren’t easy to see, but they are on the rock right in the middle of the photo.

6-14: Lots of computer work today, along with finishing the fashion style quiz that we put together. Here it is if you’d like to take it!

6-15: The plan was to stay at home and relax, but somehow we ended up shopping. I wish I could say I didn’t buy anything, but if you watch my Instagram Stories, you’ll know the truth. At least the kitties benefited too from this shopping trip.

June winning earrings by Ana Luisa

6-16: I am happy to report that my winning streak hasn’t stopped. After winning sunglasses and a pillowcase last month, I was ecstatic to win these earrings from Len’s blog.

6-17: Happy Father’s Day to every father out there. My husband put together a video for a Forever Fierce Sister of ours who just recently lost her husband. It was a touching tribute that was a good reminder to enjoy every day because we don’t know what the future holds.

Facebook community Boost in June

6-18: Today we attended a Facebook Community Boost Event that was here in Denver. It’s supposed to be coming to many more cities, so if you see it in your area, it’s a great event. It was free and they gave you many tools on how to use Facebook and Instagram. Heck, lunch was even provided! We met this woman, Amanda, who was a joy to connect with.

6-19: Photo shoot day with Lesley, who you will see soon on the blog. We had a fun field trip to downtown Denver, and enjoyed many laughs! You’ll see the post next week on the blog.

King Soopers grand reopening in June

6-20: Our grocery store had a grand reopening, so we went over early to sign up for a chance to win a gift card. Are we the only ones to do silly things like this? At least we won $15 in gift cards!!

6-21: I’m so proud that we’ve been continuing stretch class once a week. I know staying flexible and strong is almost as important as the food we put in our bodies. Which is why we take quite a few supplements too.

Puritan Pride order in June

6-22: If you’ve been following along on Instagram, then you might know that I’m working with Puritan Pride. We’ve used them for over 10 years and this was our recent order that we purchased (we weren’t gifted this). If you’re interested, Puritan’s Pride is offering my readers a fantastic discount of BUY 1 GET 2 FREE on Puritan’s Pride brand products. On top of that, my followers get an additional 15% OFF PLUS FREE SHIPPING on any order now through 7/30. Enter coupon code JTOUCH8 at checkout to redeem.

6-23: We had a wonderful night out with friends catching up and eating pizza in Golden, Colorado.

6-24: Just call us #goodpeople…ha ha! We went over to Nancy’s, my stepmom, to help pack boxes and getting things ready for the upcoming move!

June antics for the blog

6-25: When your hubby even lays on the ground to get a good shot for the blog!! That’s true love!

6-26: It was supposed to be an activity packed day, yet 2 out of 3 activities got cancelled. Which was fine so we could go take some Instagram photos.

June library

6-27: This has been our go to place lately because we just cut the cord with cable. So we’ve been checking out movies instead. You can’t beat the price….

6-28: My book club women are the best in the state. It’s always such a fabulous evening to connect, eat and of course talk about the book. Our next months book is Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate.

6-29: Today is the walk through on Nancy’s new house. It’s getting close to moving time, and it’s so exciting!!

June lunch with friends

6-30: We met up with another local blogger, Cindy, who has become a great friend. The funny thing is through Instagram, I also found that Lisa, from Walking Cradle shoes was in the area for the week, and she and her friends joined us!
