Leather Skirt for the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s: Paired with Floral
Quote of the day: “The only man who makes no mistakes is the man who never does anything.” Theodore Roosevelt
Even if you don’t happen to have a black leather skirt in your closet, these outfits can certainly be copied with a fabric black skirt. My goal in this set of series was to add the dichotomy of femininity to the skirt since leather tends to be perceived as a masculine material. I started with lace (here) in the last post, and am continuing with floral patterns in this one.
50’s Leather Skirt: I love this jacket that I picked up at a second hand store! It’s quite lightweight so I added a long sleeve t-shirt under it along with my very tall boots!!
Leather Skirt: Mom made it(similar here)~~Floral Blazer: Renato Gucci-thrifted (similar here)~~Top: LOFT (similar here)~~Boots: Betseyville (similar here in black)~~Necklace: (similar here)~~Earrings: (similar here)~~Bracelet: (similar here)
60’s Leather Skirt: The dark floral prints have been all the rage these last couple years!
Leather Skirt: Mom made hers also (similar here)~~Floral Top: Briggs NY (similar here)~~Shoes: Chinese Laundry (similar here)~~Necklace: (similar here)~~Earrings: (similar here)
70’s Leather Skirt: I realize that I’m breaking a “rule” here by pairing these taller ankle boots with a skirt—sure they break up the leg line, but why do we always have to look like our legs are super long?
Leather Skirt: Mom made hers, of course (similar here)~~Cardigan: Big City (similar here)~~Floral Top: Royal Robbins (similar here)~~Boots: Nine West(similar here or here)~~Scarf: (similar here)~~Earrings: (similar here)
