Light Blue for the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s: Paired with Brown

Quote of the Day: “Learn from the mistakes of others.  You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.”  Anonymous

The color combination of light blue and brown is one of my favorites.  Maybe it’s because my husband bought me a blazer made up of the two colors when we were first together.  This color combination is quite a common mix in the interior decorating arena and is considered calming and soothing.  Since brown is a wonderful neutral, I love how the light blue is highlighted next to it.  The first pairings with the featured color blue was incorporated with white (here) and then other blues (here).

50’s Light Blue (Sweater): In this picture I used a wooden stick to keep my sweater closed.  I’m promoting 2 local business here: my skirt is from Oh My Bag Designs in Boulder, Colorado and my necklace is from Mauzies in Centennial, Colorado!  One of my favorite mantras is to support the small businesses in your area!

60’s Light Blue (T-Shirt):  The denim vest is such a versatile piece of clothing.  I love how it enhances a regular t-shirt to become a layering item.  Psst….don’t tell, but Nancy accidentally wore her t-shirt backwards—that’s why the neckline is so high (we laughed and laughed after the photo shoot)!

70’s Light Blue (Trousers):  The turquoise jewelry was a perfect accent with this outfit.  Since we live “out west”, turquoise jewelry is easy to find and hard to resist.
