Long Vest for the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s: The Office Version
Quote of the day: “Remember a dead fish can float downstream but it takes a live one to swim upstream.” WC Fields
In this third section for our long vests, I styled us for a day at the office. For some reason, many longer vests seem professional and office worthy. I realize that not everyone could wear a fur vest to their job, but there are many creative workplaces, where it could be acceptable. The other posts showcasing styling these exact same vests for a casual look (here) and for a dressy look (here).
50’s Long Vest: So maybe this is too colorful for some of you….but why does workwear need to be boring?
Vest: Forever 21–thrifted (similar here)~~Skirt: Mom made it (similar here)~~Sweater: Sherry Taylor (similar here)~~Shoes: Payless (here)~~Scarf: Ann Taylor (similar here)~~Earrings: (similar here)
60’s Long Vest: I tried to make this outfit more conservative by styling the vest with grey trousers and heels. It still may not be your first choice for the office, but it could be fun!
Vest: (similar here)~~Pants: Worthington (similar here)~~Top: Fabrizio-Gianni (here in garnet)~~Shoes: Alex Marie (similar here)~~Necklace: (similar here)~~Earrings: (similar here)~~Pin: (similar here)
70’s Long Vest: These aren’t the pants that came with the vest, but I did give in and let mom go with the same color. I figured the scarf adds the interest.
Vest: Evan Picone (similar here in black)~~Pants: Rafaella (similar here)~~Sweater: JM Collection (similar here)~~Shoes: Nine West (similar here)~~Scarf: Reno Rose (similar here)~~Earrings: (similar here)~~Bracelet: (similar here)

Since we’re talking about the office, here’s some blazer like vests to peruse (and I think they are a great way to add some flair to your jeans!):
