November

I appreciate each and every share. Thank you!

November events with a sentence a day

November Month

If someone asked you what you did this November, what would you say? I think it can be so hard to remember specific days and events when every day goes by in a flash, right? So I joined up with a couple of other bloggers to keep track of the month of November with a sentence and some photos. There’s a link up below if you’d like to see the other’s participating in this project, and a huge thanks for Leslie for organizing us!!

Considering how busy last month was with the FierceCon, I am happy to report that this month was much calmer. Sure, you could say boring…LOL!

11-1: We went to dinner with friends at White Fence Farm Restaurant which will be closing it’s doors at the end of the year.

11-2: My wonderful friend from book club cleaned out her closet and offered to give me my choice at what she didn’t want anymore. Talk about a kid in the candy store. You’ll be seeing a bunch of the pieces in upcoming blog posts.

November muddy paws pendant

11-3: As part of our blog photos, we visited my jewelry designer’s shop for her annual open house. My hubby bought a Muddy Paws pendant since he loves pets. You can see us at the store in the blog post about our leather skirts.

11-4: Lesley came over for our classic movie night and we watched Laura. I’d never even heard of this movie, but it was a fabulous film noir.

11-5: My favorite kind of day where we didn’t leave the house. Worked on blogging and even made meals for the rest of the week.

November clothes from a friend

11-6: Ran over to my mom’s for her help on some alterations I’ll be doing for the friend. These were the clothes I brought home from her closet clean out that I mentioned above.

11-7: It’s been such a restful week, so we invited over our newest neighbor over for happy hour.

11-8: I worked almost all day on some alterations. Let me just say how hard alterations can be when you don’t know what you’re doing….ugh!! Next time you have any alterations done, you should hug that person…they work hard!

11-9: We had our Alaska cruise group over for dinner and to see each other’s photos!! It’s such a great way to remember a great trip.

November at Denver Fashion Week

11-10: Denver Fashion Week with my blogging friend, Cindy and the moms. Thanks to 303 Magazine for hosting such a wonderful event, although I was up WAY beyond my bedtime…

11-11: It snowed!!! So it was the perfect day to have hot chocolate and enjoy our fireplace.

11-12: Our classic movie night with Lesley is going strong. Tonight was All about Eve with Bette Davis.

11-13: We ran errands today which included buying a turkey to fix this weekend. We always love having a ton of turkey, turkey sandwiches, and turkey everything this time of year.

November knit day

11-14: Today was knit day, and Carolyn finished her purple shawl that she’s been working on for a couple of months. She will block it so the edges lay down flat. Isn’t it so pretty??

11-15: Stretch class, Rob’s hair cut and a metro meeting meant we were running from here to there and everywhere.

11-16: I was honored to be interviewed on Amy’s blog today. She is such a lovely woman who I was able to meet in LA at the FierceCon.

11-17: We met my thrifty Instagram pal, Chelsea, at Goodwill for some shopping fun. This was one of the women I met at our Goodwill Shop & Share event back in September. It’s always amazing how we connect with new friends in this day and age.

11-18: We cooked a turkey today. I know Thanksgiving is 4 days away, but we do this for 4 reasons. 1-We love having a ton of leftovers. 2-I like to make soup from the carcass 3-I feel like if I eat it before the big day, then I won’t overeat it then. 4-We LOVE to eat the crispy skin when it comes out of the oven….and that’s frowned upon when you’re with a group.

November movie night

11-19: It was a movie night down at a local restaurant. They were showing The Greatest Showman and having a 4 course dinner. It’s Rob’s favorite modern movie, so we took the light rail down and had a fabulous evening.

November cannolis

11-20: My hubby has a cannoli addiction, and we usually get some for Christmas at a Italian deli that is half an hour away. While we were at our local Tony’s market, we decided to try theirs as a comparison.

November organizing

11-21: I finally took the 30 minutes I needed to get my purses all organized. Now if only I can keep them that way…LOL!!

Thanksgiving in November

11-22: Happy Thanksgiving from the whole crew (except my cousin’s daughter who is in Arizona at college).

November Dior Exhibition at the Denver Art Museum

11-23: We took my mom to see the Dior Exhibition at the Denver Art Museum. It was very inspiring, and be on the lookout for a blog post about it.

November Small Business Saturday shopping

11-24: As a former small business owner, we always love to support other small shops on #shopsmall Saturday. So we met up with Lesley and had a fun day in downtown Littleton.

November musical, Come From Away

11-25: You NEED TO SEE THIS PLAY!! OMG…it was so touching and full of emotion. You can even get the music or book.

November Christkindl market in Denver

11-26: For our blog photos today, we traveled down to the Christkindl market in downtown Denver.

11-27: We had our classic movie night with our friend, Lesley and watched “The Holiday Inn” with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire.

November holiday decorating

11-28: We bought a new tree this year that is much smaller (it’s called a skinny tree) and it’s white. I love how it shows up so nicely even in the dark.

11-29: Stretch class. Do you stretch EVERY day?? I’m finding it SO helpful.

11-30: And today among the myriad of errands, I was able to get a massage!! Yippee!!
