How your Red Sandals Can Add a Pop of Color

Quote of the day: “Opportunities are seldom labeled.” Buz Moxon

To me, sandals are the epitome of summer and warmer days!  Who doesn’t love showing off their tootsies?  (Actually I do know a couple women who shy away from sandals because they don’t like their toes, but I think that’s silly).  One of my favorite pair of sandals are Nancy’s red ones pictured in this post.  I think a red sandal is such a versatile shoe and hopefully I can prove it to you with my pairings (sounds like wine…hmmm also red & wonderful).

The first in this series shows how I’ve paired the red sandals with darker neutrals.  Most of us would usually reach for a black sandal, but I really like the interest that a red sandal gives the outfits.

50’s Red Sandals: This dress had been a staple of mine for so many years.  It’s from La Redoute and I was heartbroken when they stopped shipping to the U.S.A.

60’s Red Sandals: So these sandals were purchased at Target and I drool over them every time I see them (you’ll see a better view in the next post).  I would have bought a pair too, but I actually showed restraint.

70’s Red Sandals: Mom bought this bracelet at the gift shop at the Denver Art Museum.  She never gives up an opportunity to pick up a bauble!
