Reviewing 4 Things Used Everyday in my Medicine Cabinet
There are some things used everyday that make life easier or better. Granted your wants and needs could be very different than mine. But I am lucky to try out many different products that I wouldn’t know about except because of blogging. So I wanted to share 4 that get used daily. Sure, there are more things I use. Trust me! I have a FULL medicine cabinet. However, I wanted to narrow it down to the essentials that you might not know about.
Quote of the day: “I’m shy at first. But I do the stupidest, random things when I get comfortable with someone.” Seen on Pinterest but very apropos to me.
FYI, this is not a sponsored post. Meaning I am not being paid to write this. Sure, I was gifted two of the products, yet I bought the other two. The fact is I have no vested interest in any of these products except to share with you things I really use daily.
As for this list of things used everyday, they are in no particular order except alphabetical!
AudioloG Ear Drops
These ear drops are something I discovered as I have been working with the company Life Sprout Bioceuticals. This is a gifted product and I was paid to review it on Instagram. I’ve actually been using many of their products because lots of other supplements have crap in addition to the active ingredients. It’s crazy.
But that was one of the reasons, I agreed to work with Life Sprouts. When you read the ingredients, it’s not a science project. Well, maybe a natural science project.
Anyways, these ear drops are something that really intrigued me. Now I can’t tell you that they have made a difference. But why aren’t we doing something preventative for our hearing? I worked around a dental drill for over 20 years and expect to need hearing aids in the future. Yet, I’m trying these now to see if I can put it off for as long as I can.
Do you need these? Who knows? It surprises me that there isn’t more products like these out there. For today, I just wanted to share what I’m using. If you’re interested, you can get 15% off with the code JODIE (along with the other products I’ve reviewed for them. In fact, my mom has been very happy with her Bladder Brake supplements)
The other aspect of my life that I’ve been trying to change is to concentrate on more natural products. I still use the two product lines that I discussed last year. But neither of them have everything I need.
I guess if you think about it, our body moisturizer should be front and center of making it natural since we use it to cover a LOT of our body. So I bought the other version of this a couple of months ago. This time I was glad to see that it came in a pump bottle. Just call me lazy, but this makes it so much easier to use.
Yes, I purchased this with my hard earned money. One of my blogger friends, Jill, is a consultant as she’s been focusing on non toxic products since her bout with cancer. BeautyCounter is a company that prides themselves on promoting safer items.
In fact, my consultant, Jill is offering an incentive to reimburse you $10 with any order of $100+ placed through my link. To redeem, place your order through this link with Jill as your consultant and then forward your order confirmation to email@example.com. Make sure to include your PayPal or Venmo handle in that email so she can give you your $10.
So here’s where I’m human and contradict my thoughts on natural products. Sure, I want a more natural lipstick. But I want an all day one even more. One that when I put it on in the morning, it doesn’t end up on my teeth, my drinking glass, and stays on until at least later that afternoon.
I reviewed 5 different ones this spring and have been sticking with the two Maybelline ones. Although my blogging friend, Lisa does recommend Stila, so I’m going to have to try that one too. My only complaint with this SuperStay Matte lipstick is there aren’t a lot of available colors. Which is why I want to try the Stila brand. FYI, the Lover shade of this is my favorite…it’s not too dark and yet has some color.
Now there are secrets to get your all day lipstick to last the length of the day. I discuss those in my review post, but the biggest one to not get it on your teeth is TO LET IT DRY right after you put it on. Meaning, don’t talk or move your lips around for many minutes after you apply it!!
MBK Eye Rejuvenator
Here’s a device (along with the serum) that I was gifted to review for our Forever Fierce Group. There were about 3-4 of us reviewing it and we were asked to use it for a month and let them know our results. Well, you might laugh because none of us were really impressed after a month. Being the patient person that I am, I decided to keep using it for longer.
The fact is, I only used it on the right side of my face, around my eye and around my lips. So after that first month, I seriously could not SEE any difference between the two sides.
BUT…HERE’S THE THING. Have you ever tried the “snap test?” My friend told me about this years ago. Granted I don’t try it often, but sometime after about 2 months of using this MBK device, I went to pull off a piece of lint under my right eye. And I was very surprised that my skin was much more elastic. I compared it to the left side (where I hadn’t used the MBK device) and there was definitely a difference. Heck, even Rob could tell. I still couldn’t SEE a difference in wrinkles or such, just in the snap test.
So now I’ve been using the device on both sides EVERY night. I am almost out of the serum they sent with it. I think I’ll try it with some of the eye cream I already have instead of purchasing more. Scientifically, I think it would be the device that is the game changer.
No, I don’t get a commission from this, but I did get a discount code for 20% off your entire purchase with the code JODIE20 from Oct 1-Oct 31, 2019. I’m going to keep using it for a full year and see if I can actually see results in the appearance too.
More Things used Everyday
Like I said above, there are many other things used everyday in my daily life. I’ll be blogging about eyelashes one of these days and that’s one of the products.
Just so you know, I am offered many gifted products at times. Many I decline because they are either too expensive or aren’t something I’d normally use. Yet there are a TON of small companies out there that have fabulous products. It’s one of the reasons I wrote about and think we should embrace social media.
If you have any products that you wonder about or issues, I would love to hear about them. I’ve been working with City Beauty a couple of times on Instagram, and had a reader ask me about their InvisiCrepe. So I’ve been using it sparingly on one arm to see if I can see a difference. I’ll keep you in the loop.
