Scarf for Travel Wear for the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s: As a Wrap for Dinner
Quote of the day: “You have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.” Louise Hay
The scarf not only keeps the neck warm, but can keep your arms and upper body warm, especially if it’s cooler at night! My mom & I ended up tying the ends of the scarf together and then putting our arms through the holes to create a “vest” with the scarf. The advantage to this method is that your wrap stays on easier. The disadvantage of this is it’s more voluminous and maybe not quite as flattering! So take your pick of how to wear it…Nancy kept her scarf just overlayed over her shirt! This same scarf was styled for the plane trip (here) and as a bathing suit cover-up (here).
50’s Scarf: Here’s a perfect example of how the scarf can contribute much needed color to an outfit!
