As someone who enjoys talking about style, beauty, and all the ways we can live our best lives, you might be wondering why I’m sharing natural health and wellness products. But let me tell you—looking good truly starts with feeling good. And what better way to feel your best than by supporting your body with products that work with it, instead of against it?
Quote of the day: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Mahatma Gandhi
Just like I talked about how my style has done a 180 in the last 10 years, so has my thinking about natural health and wellness products.
It didn’t happen overnight and it continues to evolve, but I thought I’d share some insights, and recommendations along with reasons they could be beneficial.
As a woman who’s been around the block a few times (wink wink), I’ve learned that the choices we make in our everyday lives—what we wear, what we eat, what we put on our skin and into our bodies can make a huge difference.
I also come to this subject with a BS in biology, a never-ending love of learning more about our bodies as well as the Western Medicine side of dentistry which includes pharmacology and drugs.
Since I share Insider tips, style tricks, and all kinds of ways to be the boss of your clothes, it’s high time I share secrets to feeling your best in other ways.
While we all know that our food is the best medicine (as I’ve written about in the past), we are also perfectly imperfect beings. That means we may need to find other avenues in which to feel good, and natural health and wellness products might fit the bill.
This is not about vitamins/supplements (which I also believe in and have written about) but these are a tad different.
And unlike the Flu Box for when you are sick, these can be helpful every day or at various times.
Why Even Consider Natural Health and Wellness Products?
Before we dive into the brands and/or products, let’s talk about the bigger picture. Why choose natural health and wellness products in the first place?
- Fewer Synthetic Ingredients
Many traditional health and beauty products (just like ultra-processed foods) are filled with artificial additives, preservatives, and chemicals that we can barely pronounce. When you switch to more natural options, you’re usually getting simpler ingredient lists that your body is more likely to recognize and respond to positively. - Less Irritation
Especially as we get older, our skin and systems can become more sensitive. Natural products often skip the harsh stuff and rely on plant-based or gentle alternatives.
That’s not to say you can’t have reactions to “natural” items. But usually, our bodies can detoxify natural products more easily than chemicals. - Holistic Wellness
Natural products tend to take a more holistic approach—supporting your body’s natural functions instead of simply masking symptoms. It’s the whole idea of looking at the root cause of an issue which can be very beneficial. - Environmental Considerations
Many natural brands are more mindful of sustainability and eco-friendliness. As a person who is starting to consider the environmental concerns of all of the things we use and buy, it can be another step in helping our planet.
Where to Find Natural Health and Wellness Products
Some of our favorite places to purchase natural health and wellness products are:
- Sprouts have a large variety of options including Boiron.
- iHerb is a great online site.
- Amazon sometimes. We have heard cons about this option but sometimes it’s so convenient. However, not all products from brands are always offered on Amazon.
- Each brand has a website too.
- Even big box stores are starting to carry natural health and wellness products. For instance, we have found them at CVS and Walmart.
This article is not sponsored by any products in particular. But I would be remiss not to share that if you purchase anything through my links, there is a chance I could get a small commission. And I thank you for that.

Immune & Stress
As someone who believes that our immune system is one of the most important factors for healthy living, I try to do everything to keep mine running smoothly.
Some of my favorites include:
- BeeKeepers Propolis Immune Support – I use this daily year-round. A friend introduced me to it when traveling. I think it is also a great option for everyday use. It’s made with bee propolis, which is like nature’s own antibacterial and antiviral superhero.
- Honey Throat Spray – I tried this during a recent bout of seasonal sickness and was amazed at how much better I felt. While I would pack this in my flu box, normally, it could also be helpful for allergy season. BTW, this is one we found at CVS.
- Rescue Remedy – We started using this when we planned our road trip with our senior cats. It’s a mix of flowers and natural things that are meant to help with stress. While we started off using the pet version for the cats, we now have a human version for us.

Bestmade Natural Products: Homeopathy
Now let’s talk about a brand that’s a little more under the radar but definitely worth exploring: Bestmade Natural Products.
This company specializes in homeopathic remedies, which I know can be a bit controversial for some. But I’ve always believed that there’s room for both modern medicine and natural solutions.
You may not even be familiar with homeopathy and trust me, the ingredients can resemble a foreign language.
But I’ve gotten to the point in my life, where I feel like it’s good to try all the things.
Insider tip: I reached out and asked if I could get a discount code for Bestmade Natural Products. So feel free to use code JODIE10 on their website. This doesn’t work for their products on Amazon.
What we have in our cabinet right now:
- Runny Nose Relief – My continuing saga with my nasal issues. I thought it was fixed with Sea Buckthorn Oil but it has returned, so I thought I would try something different. Because the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results, right?
- Weak Eyesight Natural Relief – Rob wanted this because he feels like his eyes get tired more than usual.
- Erase Face Wrinkles – While I haven’t started using this yet, I figured it might help alongside the creams and skincare that I use.
Bestmade’s products are gluten-free, non-GMO, and made in the U.S. I also appreciate the information sent with their products explaining how to get the best result with their products.
They are even planning to add an online live personal consultation service for any help with issues.

Mary Ruth’s Organics: Vitamins With a Mission
This brand was created by a certified health educator who wanted to help others live healthier lives. Rob appreciates that they have many liquid formulations since there was a time when he struggled to swallow large pills.
What we have:
- Liquid Probiotics – While this is more of a supplement, it’s nice to have it in liquid form instead of another pill.
- Gluten Digestive – Since Rob needs to be gluten-free to feel better, we found these to have as a backup just in case.
Mary Ruth’s is also vegan, non-GMO, and free from most allergens. I love supporting a woman-owned business that’s truly focused on health and wellness.
Insider tip: I steer away from gummies from any company as there is usually added sugar (in some form) in them.

Pet Natural Health and Wellness Products
This isn’t the first time I’ve shared the pet products we use. We believe in natural health and wellness products so much that we also invest in them for our fur babies.
- Digestive Upset-Piper went through a time when her tummy would be upset. Of course, Rob would also make her an egg, but we would use this too.
- Joint Drops– Rob always gives our cats joint supplementation (because they are senior age), so we’ve started giving Piper some too. We alternate between a couple of brands depending on which one is available.
- Leaks No More– Piper has incontinence. We tried estrogen but the dosage made her sick. Thus this is what we are using now.

Miscellaneous Natural Health and Wellness Products
- Curamin Pain Relief– We use this instead of Advil or Tylenol. We’ve found that Walmart online has the best price for this. Sure, it’s more than Advil at Sam’s Club, but luckily we don’t need it often.
- Detoxifier– I had a friend suggest this for my headaches and I opted for the kid’s version since I don’t take many medicines.
- Colloidal Silver– Now here’s something controversial if you read up on it. We use it for so many different things including the gel on my precancerous spots (more about that in this article).
- Boiron Allergy Relief-I have this for my nasal issues when they flare up.
Final Thoughts: Style Meets Self-Care
I talk a lot about style being a form of self-expression and self-love. But health and wellness are just as much a part of that story. When you feel vibrant and energized, you look better too—because confidence, wellness, and joy shine from the inside out.
Switching to natural health and wellness products doesn’t have to mean throwing out your medicine cabinet or going completely off-grid. For me, it’s been a gradual process of replacing a few everyday items with more thoughtful, clean alternatives.
Once you start looking into what some of these brands have to offer, you might be surprised at the variety and products offered.
If you’re curious, I encourage you to try one or two things and see how your body responds. It’s all about finding what works for you. And remember: your health is always in style.
