Sequins for the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s: The Appointment Version
Quote of the day: “We awaken in others the same attitude of mind we hold toward them.” Elbert Hubbard
Now even more kooky than wearing your sequins for a casual day (shown here), would be to try to wear them either for the office or a professional appointment. I mean, what would people think? That you’re going out to a party afterwards? Or worse, that you enjoy life? Hah…just trying to put things into perspective. If you have a piece of clothing hanging in your closet, you might as well get some good usage out of it. And even if you wouldn’t wear it for this category, maybe it’ll spur an idea of how to wear it more! We did style these same sequined clothing items for a dressier moment here.
50’s Sequins (Dress): I figured a business-like vest could add a touch of officeness. This vest was bought as a blazer, and then I had mom remove the sleeves!

60’s Sequins (Poncho): A collared shirt, leopard wedges and the swing trench coat make the sequined poncho seem business casual.

70’s Sequins (Shirt): Mom has only worn this shirt once even though she’s had it for 15 years! Adding heels and a blazer make it more work appropriate, I think—although maybe the pin is too much?

Thanks to you all!
