Options of What to Wear to an Outdoor Summer Wedding
Quote of the day: “Luck is luck…and hard work.” Barbara Walters
Ahhh weddings. A wonderful time to celebrate love, good feelings and friends. Yet it can also be a time for stressing out over what to wear. Since we think of a wedding as a dressy & somewhat formal affair, the apparel of choice is commonly a dress or skirt for women.
For this post’s theme of an outdoor wedding, this could certainly be the exception to that thinking. However, I decided to keep with the dressier theme, although I did have us all wear flats. Of course, the venue of the outdoor wedding is an important factor to consider and can certainly dictate the appropriate footwear!
50’s Summer Wedding: Thanks to my friend, Linda, for this dress. I had always said I would never wear a maxi dress, but when she offered me this one, I decided to change my mind. Writing this blog (and thus reading a ton of blogs) has taught me never to say never in fashion!

60’s Summer Wedding: Nancy and I went shopping a month ago and scored all three dresses she’ll be wearing for this series! Isn’t this floral one just so pretty and perfect for the summer?

70’s Summer Wedding: My mom actually doesn’t have as many dresses as she has separates, so we went with a floral skirt! The cardigan is quite lightweight and more for arm coverage.

Thanks for the love and support! Do you wear a dress to an outdoor wedding?
