How to Give your T-Shirt Glam by Pairing it with a Skirt

Quote of the day: “The reason we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel.” Pastor Steven Furtick

And another way to improve the look of your boxy t-shirt is to glam it up by wearing a skirt.  A skirt for the warmer weather months, is a perfect way to stay cool.  And you might think it silly to wear a skirt with a t-shirt since they could be considered opposites.  However, this dichotomy of elements can make the look quite modern.

Since all of our t-shirts featured are solids, I opted for print skirts for this example; however, a solid skirt would work just as well.  If you missed the earlier posts, we wore the same t-shirt with a jacket and with a scarf.

50’s T-Shirt:  This outfit reminds me of a safari look. It must be the animal print skirt and the olive green and red together. (I think I needed to size up on my t-shirt…oops)

60’s T-Shirt:  These tan mules cover a good portion of the foot.  To me, this offsets the fact that the skirt is on the shorter side.

70’s T-Shirt:  My mom made this skirt out of drapery material. She figured if Scarlet O’Hara could do it, so could she!

Mom picked this owl necklace since it’s longer and the t-shirt is solid colored! I thought it was a good selection to incorporate the brown of the shoes & earrings!! Not only have we spruced up the t-shirt with a skirt, but then we also added in another color scheme.

As our society has embraced the casual t-shirt, I’ve tried to find ways to glam it up! Since wearing a skirt is considered dressier, then this combination could be perfect!

Thanks to you all! I really appreciate all of your support and comments!
