Quote of the day: “The bad news: Time flies. The good news: You’re the pilot.” Mark Lachs

One of these featured items could be lurking in your closet too! I’m a big fan of jackets in particular, and tweed definitely appeals to me due to the variations of colors usually found in them. Thanks to Samantha at Fake Fabulous (check out her blog—she’s a woman who loves color and is a master at mixing prints), I used a slightly different name for this category. Sure, we can still refer to it as office or appointment appropriate, but I love the term smart. What are you thoughts on the new name? Since my primary reason when deciding to wear a jacket is to appear professional, I started with this version first.

50’s Tweed Jacket: Funny story about this jacket…my mom actually made it for herself. However, it turned out a tad small for her, so guess who was the lucky recipient?
