Tweed Jacket for the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s: The Casually Dressed Version
Quote of the day: “What is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself.” Anna Quindlen
I love throwing a blazer on with my jeans for running errands or shopping! It’s a better fit than a windbreaker and not as hot as a parka. Because who really wants to be taking their jacket on and off at the stores? And do I really need something super heavy when I’m only outside for one minute going from the car to the store and back? Don’t get me wrong…I love wearing my coats, but only when it’s needed! So back to this week’s theme of our tweed jackets. I paired them for a smart look (here) and now styled them casually.
50’s Tweed Jacket: Mom commented that the hat might be overpowering me. I was hoping it’d keep out all the UV rays. What do you think?

60’s Tweed Jacket: With so many colors in this jacket, the possibilities of a necklace were almost endless! This is one Nancy made for a church function.

70’s Tweed Jacket: Since Nancy got to wear a necklace as an accessory and I got a hat, I let mom wear a scarf!
