Weekly Wrap Up 7.17.21
Weekend in Seattle
Our trip to Seattle was full of fun and many various activities. We laughed at the wet umbrella wrapper station at Zara since that’s something you’d NEVER see in Arizona, LOL!!
Catherine’s pup, Moxie, is the sweetest love bug ever, and then we went hiking in the forest!! Such a different sight than our desert views.
Catherine and I worked out at her place with an online barre class. The sunset was spectacular every night, and the best part was seeing friends. Some new friends, some old friends, but all such wonderful souls.
Monday Travel Day
I didn’t take an outfit photo per se since it’s basically the same as my travel outfit I wore out to Seattle which you can see in last week’s Weekly Wrap Up post. For traveling, I will just change out the t-shirt, undies and socks, and am good to go.
Honestly, I love the idea of a midi dress for traveling, as I’ve discussed in my perfect plane outfit. However, this shirt dress style wasn’t my favorite.
One thing is the slit up the front with a shirt dress and the material wasn’t as warm (polyester vs. a knit).
But now I know, and it wasn’t a total failure. Just not as perfect as the original midi dress.
I was so excited that Mireille, took the time to connect in the Phoenix airport with us. I was so bummed she would be here in AZ when we were in Seattle. But at least we had 10 minutes to talk in the airport.
I hadn’t worn shorts for awhile, and decided today was the day. I don’t look very happy, do I? LOL! Probably because I always feel like there is so much to catch up on when I get home from a trip.
These shorts are one of my favorite pair (besides my bermuda shorts). I’ve worn them as part of my color recipe to show how versatile they can be. Today, I wanted to try wearing this top I just purchased at Zara on our Seattle trip. I only bought it because it’s different than most things in my closet; however, I’m not loving this outfit.
But just like everyday, it’s no biggie, because I have a mulligan tomorrow. (Or later today if I want to change).
AND, I did change. I just felt a little too exposed in the first outfit and decided to pair the top with some palazzo pants instead. I also switched out the bra/bralette underneath and added different earrings. You can tell by the smile that the outfit feels more me!! I can imagine the top with a hot pink pant suit too. Guess I need to find that pink suit, LOL!!
Today started out with a maxi dress and sandals. We actually had a rain storm this morning, so the day started off much cooler.
This maxi dress was preloved, and it’s basically a t-shirt dress just like we’d been discussing with the blog posts this week. I felt like it needed a little sass so I added in the whimsical necklace made by Pam Neri.
We were working on a video for a brand today which included some cooking. That’s why I wore these Walking Cradles sandals especially because they have arch support included in them. They also have adjustable straps. I never had swollen feet until we moved here, so it’s nice to be able to have this feature.
These are the Heather sandals, but are also similar to the Hustle.
Since you’ll see my outfit in a couple of weeks on the blog, I’ll show you the amazing museum we visited this day. It’s called the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures. The photos don’t do it justice, but it’s incredible to see all of the detail put into these tiny homes.
If you happen to be in Tucson, and need somewhere to hang out that is inside, I would recommend a visit.
I know you all think I’m crazy, and I feel the same way some days, LOL!! But in my defense, I have my facial scheduled for this morning and my hair is always a huge mess afterwards.
Therefore, I pulled on my Gibby’s headscarf. If you have trouble with scarves staying on your head, this one is totally different. It’s the material AND the ways it’s made. Heck, it even comes with a adjustable tie in the back.
Instead of having the ends be loose down my back, (like you can see here), I pulled them up towards the top and tied them. It felt too flat, so I put a scrunchie around the tied part.
Now I’m channeling my inner Carmen Miranda, right??
The skirt is one I’ve worn many times. It has a matching top which I wore when we were in Denver recently (you can see it in my Weekly Wrap up post here).
My goal is to find things that help you with your day, and to bring a smile and kindness to your life.
I hope I say thank you enough because your support allows me to continue this journey which I just LOVE!!!
