RockFlowerPaper as a Site for Women of any Age
Quote of the day: “History is made by people: Its movement depends on small currents as well as great tides.” Margaret Thatcher
But wait, there’s more (I always love saying that). You can enter below for a scarf like the one my mother is wearing. The company donated an extra one for one of my readers. I’ll have the giveaway available through next Tuesday, Feb 6. There is also a discount for my readers of 15% off your first purchase with the code, JTOUCH15. Now just wait until you see the great products you can get.
This quote seemed appropriate for the fact that I’d love to introduce you to a small company out of San Francisco called RockFlowerPaper. I know many of us enjoy supporting the small companies either online or locally. This company’s products are so colorful and they are inspired from travels around the world. If you click over to their site, I bet you can see why I thought you might enjoy their offerings. Besides the fact that they have not only clothing but home decor and in addition, almost every item is under $100.

So let me show you a small sampling of Rockflowerpaper’s items. Both Nancy & I were quite amused that we got to turn my mom around to showcase her scarf! Since many times my mom is talking during our photos, this let her talk away and not create any funny looking faces on her part.
Jodie’s (50+) Outfit: I decided to give one of Rockflowerpaper’s overnight bags a try.
I have many knitting friends that are always gaga over new bags, but I’m one of those that uses the same one over and over. Because of this, my usual bag is quite worn and wearing out. The overnight bag I received from Rockflowerpaper, is actually very fabulous. I’ll give you some of the wonderful details about it and let you decide for yourself.
FYI, it seems like this exact print isn’t available right now for their overnight bag on their website, but they have many other designs to choose from.

The Details
First I love the fact that it has both an adjustable arm strap and 2 hand straps for carrying. And if it looks as big as me, it kinda is. We laughed that I could probably climb in it.
And the pockets that are on the inside and outside? It made me think I could take it and include all of my knitting projects for my next knitting retreat because there are 3 on the outside and 3 on the inside.

I wanted to really try out and see what I could fit in the bag. In the photo below I’m showing you that my outfit, including ankle boots, is in there along with my toiletries bag, curling iron and makeup bag. This company even has matching travel bags and cosmetic bags that you could put in your overnight bag for men and women.
And let me just point out the fact that if you don’t have a hankering for any specific pattern, there are even a couple of overnight bags in the sale section which is an amazing deal. It could even be a fabulous gift for Valentines or Mother’s Day? Let me also point out this reversible tote. If you happen to see it in an upcoming post, it’s only because I couldn’t resist.

Nancy’s (60+) Outfit: Nancy picked out a print blouse from Rockflowerpaper.
I thought this was a great choice because a button down shirt can be layered so easily under other items along as layering them over other pieces.

This shirt itself is called a boyfriend shirt and is certainly very roomy. That’s the reason Nancy decided to tie it in the front this way for the photo. The reviews on it also say that it runs big, so if you are interested, I’d size down. But like my mother always says, keep into account that since it’s 100% cotton, it will also probably shrink in the wash. Yet, who doesn’t love an item that is machine washable?
FYI, I don’t think all their shirts are like this, so I’d read the reviews first before you order.

The site also has tunics, poet shirts and sleep shirts available with these fabulous prints. And again, that sale section has some deals that I don’t even think my mom could get the material and make them that inexpensively.

Charlotte’s (80+) Outfit: Since my mother is the hugest lover of scarves, she figured another one would always be appreciated.
This scarf has such a lovely design on it, so my mom wore it two different ways. This first method is done by tying the corners together to create a “sleeve”. Then the scarf acts like a lightweight vest and really showcases the design on the back. In the featured photo at the top of this post, you can see how from the front, when wearing the scarf this way, it’s almost like a kimono. Speaking of kimonos, Rockflowerpaper has some of those too.

Since scarves really can be so versatile, I also had mom just fold it in half and tie it around her shoulders for the second look. This exact scarf is quite lightweight, so can be folded and smushed to be used many different ways.
And don’t you love that my mom paired her brown boots with this outfit? I know she considered her navy boots, but I think it looks even more modern with a non-matching selection.

Giveaway
And you could be the lucky recipient of your own scarf like this. It’s the same color and design that my mom is showing here, except it’s still in it’s plastic. Therefore, you’ll probably have to iron it first, ha ha! Join in the giveaway below to get a chance at winning it.
If you like other varieties of scarves, Rockflowerpaper has those too including neck scarves, infinity scarves and oblong scarves.
I also need to quickly point out that if by chance you are looking for a white, cotton sweater, Macy’s is having an amazing sale here and the one I linked below for the similar one.
