Daily Looks: Week Ending 9.26.25

I appreciate each and every share. Thank you!

The calendar may say “autumn,” but it’s still in the 90s or higher here. That’s why I dress for what it feels like, not what the calendar says.
This week was an exercise in various hairstyles. Do you have a favorite?

My emails are my way to share fun and positive content with you from all of the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY

My friend, Tresi, shared this article, and we both loved the last example. So I decided to pull it off with one of Rob’s short-sleeve shirts.

Of course, I had to add more than just his shirt over my dress, so I pinned this open-weave collar (which used to be Rob’s mom’s) to the side to give it more layering.
Here’s when I wore it around my neck the “normal” way.

I held the shirt and scarf together in the front with a brooch, and even pinned a “girl pendant” in the opening of the shirt.

My mom made this orchid dress. I’ve worn it under a kimono top for Sunday Brunch. The straps kept wanting to fall down, so I tied them together in the back (as shown in the photo I shared in my email) with a self-belt.

SUNDAY

I found these silver Mary Janes at Aldi’s (of all places) yesterday, and had to take them for a test drive. Obviously, for $8, they aren’t the best quality, but I can easily add in my Sole Insoles if I want to walk in them for an extended period of time.

It’s a perfect example of how the outfit started with the shoes (as we’ve discussed recently).

I thought the blue thrifted linen pants would be fun with the shoes, and then I added this green bow tie blouse.

I added a brooch at the waistline and another brooch at the bow tie, but the outfit still seemed lacking.
That’s when I grabbed the vest (worn alone and buttoned up in the past).

What I changed after this photo…my glasses. I felt I needed something more bold and brighter.

MONDAY

Off to Yogalates today, and even in my workout wear, I wanted to mix prints and have fun.

I love the workout shorts with the pockets on the side, and I also prefer the longer sports bras most days.

Since it’s cooling down, I added this shrug that just covers my arms but isn’t too much layering. In fact, I made one from a sweatshirt that I cut into a skirt, and the top portion turned into one of these.

I’m wearing the sweatshirt skirt in this article, and I showed how I DIYed it.

I wore easy-on/off sandals and put my hair up.

TUESDAY

I’m off for a facial today, thus the hat.

I absolutely love these jean shorts since they are loose, they can be worn in summer without feeling too heavy, plus they have coverage.
There are still some available in limited sizes, depending on the wash you prefer.

I wore a thrifted sweater vest, and finally broke out the Coach sneakers I thrifted since it’s somewhat cooler. I love the blue strap, and I wore a blue self-belt to mirror the color.

WEDNESDAY

I’m not usually a “matching set” girl, but when Kym at Just Be Youtiful showed this one on her live stream for only $45, I figured I might as well give it a try.
BTW, she has different colors, and ships in the US. It’s truly a steal, because the top can be origami-ed.

The pants are too long, and I plan to alter them, but for today, I used an elastic trick that a friend shared (thanks, Jennifer).
I did use a safety pin to anchor the material, but with the print, you don’t notice it.

I wore accent colors of orange and turquoise.

FRIDAY

I had a couple of items hanging on my valet rod, and finally put together an outfit using this vest.

It went perfectly with this mini skirt (found for $1 last summer), and I added a white peplum top under the vest to break up the prints.

With a shorter skirt, I always like boots because I feel more covered, but it’s still too warm for those. Therefore, I grabbed some sheer white socks and my gold Mary Janes.

I bet the first thing that popped into your head is that it’s “too young” or ‘little girlish,” but I like trying all the styles.

The necklace is 2 different ones layered together, and I wore my button bracelet that my mom made me.

Thank you
